Hi guys. Things are generally working well but I've noticed a couple of bugs and thought I'd point them out (sorry if this has already been covered elsewhere)

The "Insert into message" quote tool is broken. It inserts the quote begin and end tags, but wont allow you to paste.

The thread post counters are always showing "0" now. (not the individual post counts, no one gives a fuk about them right)

Thats all I've noticed for now.

Humm I just quoted you with The "Insert into message" quote tool and I can copy and paste your text. I'm using Firefox 3.6 beta.

And the "New posts in this thread since your last visit" arrow.

Even after clearing cookies it's still there for me (IE6 at work)

I'm using Safari. It used to work with it fine before hand so I'm gonna call that a bug :)

pseudo-code

if (linked-in-from-google && ($_GET['startid'] <= your_preferred_number_of_posts_per_page) {
unset ($_GET['startid']);
}

yeh that requires more investigation, nfi why that would stop working

ET, I can't reproduce any of your bugs :(

edit: just reproduced the safari one; looks like a safari bug. If you right-click-paste it works fine, just can't use CTRL-V.

For some reason, I'm just not able to "Ctrl/V" with the quote tool. Cant work that out. I can Ctrl/v any place else I want.

FWIW: Browsing to this thread from http://qgl.ausforums.com/ I see all zero's exactly like E.T's screenshot above, but when hit refresh on the thread page it counts up as normal 0,1,2,3,4...

Google Chrome 3.0 here, but I don't know if it makes a difference.

Disregard that, refreshing sometimes helps sometimes doesn't.
The page code is currently being tweaked by someone behind the scenes perhaps?

trog: I've been able to reproduce it by visiting http://qgl.ausforums.com/index.php/439207/?agn=thread&id=2818866

It is intermittent though. Sometimes I get the correct numbers, sometimes all 0s

woo, I just got all zeros. How bizarre! It could have been doing that forever for all I know actually.

Yeh I think that all zeros thing must've been around for ever. It's not a migration-related bug. Just an old old old s***ty bug.

Those anchors are really useless anyway; unless anyone actually uses them I'll just remove them.

The pages will load faster with em gone anyway :p

Please don't - I certainly use them for linking people to threads/specific posts.

they're useless though because they don't take into account people's differing settings - eg, if you have 20 posts per page and I have 50, then the numbering will be different.

edit: I'll replace it with something working, I wont just blow it all away :)

how could the numbering be different?? Surely post #25 is ALWAYS post #25?

anywho it doesn't bother me, I don't use those anchors

Nah, it carries over pages, so if you only display 20 posts per page, the first post on page 2 will be post #20, the twentieth post in the trhead.

Trog ever since the migration... just say i'm on page 3 of a thread and every now and then i alt-tab back from my game and press f5 to refresh it... it works at first but eventually it puts me back to page 1? its really annoying.

Does anyone else get this??

with mine i have noticed that all the threads are marked as unread/new with the red folder and new post arrow all the time. I have tried removing cookies logging in and out.

Using latest FF here.

I have used the post count thing in the past when referencing a funny reply to someone.

I think I've identified the problem with the 'new post' thing; I'll have a bit more of a play later.

OK guys I think it's fixed. If you can keep an eye out and let me know that'd be grand.

edit: oh, you probably need to delete your ausforums.com cookies.

Normally I make a post and if I am limited, my post will show up in the text box allowing me to either refresh the post (and post) or copy it and re post it.

It now shows the post limiter but no text in the box
