Team Fortress 2 has copped another update:
- The Engineer's teleporters can now be upgraded to level three. It will recharge faster the higher level it is
- The Engineer's dispensers can now be upgraded to level three. It will give out metal and heal faster as it is upgraded
- Spies will be able to recharge their cloaking ability by picking up ammo off of the ground or from health cabinets
- Some changes to the second part of the first stage of Goldrush to give the attackers more of an advantage
- Any weapons that fire bullets (shotguns, sniper's machine gun, heavy's minigun, etc.) can now break apart the Demoman's stickybombs
- The icon on the HUD for a person calling for Medic will now give more information to the medic (if the target is low on health, on fire, etc.)
- Added an achievement tracker that will allow people to choose specific achievements that they are trying to get
- There is now a custom icon for death messages when the player was killed from a critical hit
- Added a new particle effect for when a player enters the water
- Added smoke to the feet of a rocket jumping soldier
- Players will now have some particles swirling around them so other players can see when they are overhealed

bit of spy / engineer love is good to see

not sure about the breaking apart stickies change - maybe just making it so when you shoot them they move further away would of been enough

Tip:

Go into your "games" menu on steam. right click on TF2 and click on "properties" and then on "set launch options".

Type in "-novid".

Gets rid of the video @ startup.

I stopped playing it when everyone I knew stopped playing it. To me it seems like the sort of game best played with a good group of mates who know what they're doing, whenever I've tried to play with a bunch of randoms it always turns out badly. 10 engineers all building sentries is kind of dumb.

Sticky breaking wouldn't make a diff anyway.

Most smart/pro demos use the sticky launcher as an offensive grenade launcher ever since they nerfed the other grenade launcher thing.

I only ever put two stickies down when I play demo at max. Only other time I put down more stickies is if Im taking on the full level 3 sentrygun.

This is awsem. A spy can stay invisible forever if they know where to run.

Thanks for that Phooks !!!!

Yeah, or if they sit cloaked and disguised on top of an enemy dispenser :D

Yeah I've been able to get right past the enemy lines so easily now. Still get f***ed up just as easily once I actually try to do something.

demo stickies are so OP. 1 non crit can kill a scout or sniper and i think a pyro instantly. thats BS when the normal launcher only does like 50 damage or something

Goldrush update is terrible.. the new sniper deck is just spam bucket for demo pipes.

Even harder to get away from now :/

Which suits me fine because I am the demo spamming your deck :P

Not a fan of the goldrush changes.

Also DM, you're lieing. 1 non crit sticky won't kill a full healthed s***. People that complain about demo's just need to learn to play the game.

The only problem I have ever had with demos is the inability to deal with their stickies as a pyro/medic, but now that has been changed.

Huh? The pyro can compression blast stickies away, and the medic still can't do anything because his gun doesn't shoot bullets.

No, he meant the non-team-play kind of pyro. You know with the Backburner. Compression blast doesn't get the kills or much points, but damn it is useful for the team.

I often kills scouts and snipers with only 1 sticky

It has to be right next to them though so they take the full blast

Also backburner is a massive piece of s*** nube gun and should be removed

In confined areas they just run in and flail and sure enough boom crit in the back insta death...

TBH I'd prefer if they dropped the new s*** and went back to before they brought in unlockable weapons.
