So there's a Cyclone out in the Pacfic atm (well actually there's two but tomas doesn't bother us).

Do you think it'll hit us, if so, where and how hard?

Here's some tracking maps of Ului:

I for one believe this cyclone is going to hit the mainland, at an incredibly low latitude, at cat 4. Then it will form a rain depression once it makes landfall. This will pose a very real risk for SEQ as all the dams are at ~100% FSL and the ground is already saturated. Wivenhoe's Flood mitigation capacity will be put to the test.

What we need to determine is, did it indicate before executing that crazy left hand turn? Because if it did, and it then turns on the right indicator, we then know to run for cover.

Planned holidays are fine. Sudden holidays for everyone are a disruption and an annoyance.

Tell me about it, nothing going on at my work so I'm off. If it doesn't pick up soon I fear work might not even survive the next few months :(

Well we got told last week that everyone was going to be on forced leave either that or leave without pay. So much for my 11 week stockpile of leave. Got a fair bit of leave to burn though so much so the director has classed it as a company liability in the meeting we had last week.

All I could say was cunnnnnnnnt....bye I am off to the pub, back on wens. He didn't say a word

Kamahl was the dudes name in the Dilmah tea ads.

folks were smack bang in the middle of the slycoon last night. Massive tree ripped out an missed the shed by about a metre the ol man reckons. Told him to get pics or he was lying.
Don't think he got it :(

Brother just moved to a joint outside of Seaforth. His mrs was curled up under a mattress in the bathtub cause she thought the roof was going to go. Brother had a few beers an passed out on the lounge :)
Nice to see she was looking out for him heheh
