According to the press release, we'll be seeing Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 "this winter" (pretty vague since it's already pretty close to winter), with a host of new features, one of which will see Tiger's personal real-life coach, coaching you in the game.

The game will feature dynamic, personalized gameplay via Tiger Woods’ personal coach, Hank Haney. Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09 also features a more intuitive and customized EA SPORTS™ GamerNet** experience as well as an all-new game engine powering online play.

"Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09 is the most authentic golf video game on the market, and we’re excited to bring an immersive experience to the masses," said Executive Producer Mike Taramykin. "Our partnership with Hank Haney provides fans immediate coaching from one of the top minds in golf. This year’s game brings unprecedented levels of customization and control, allowing seasoned vets and first time players ‘inside the ropes’ of TOUR golf."

So for those of you who enjoy a bit of the old back nine, keep your eyes peeled here for an official release date as soon as EA Australia drop it to us.

These games are terrible.

umm ea are a US company so "winter" is actually along way off. ie christmas time.

i think they are beating a dead horse here. unless they come up with something special it will just be another rehash with little new stuff.

i gotta agree. while i enjoy the game franchise there never seems to be much difference apart from cosmetic changes and extras that don't benefit the playing of golf in the game.
i think it's a dead genre unless someone comes up with something exceptionally different.

i'll stick with my old 07 version for a while.

EA are so LAME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are just sitting there rubbing there hands together going look at these dorks waste there money....

THE GAME HAS HAD NOTHING DONE TO IT AND THERE ARE STILL BUGS... but they will not tell you that..

SHAME ON YOU EA your killing a good game improve the dam thing dont just put usless crap in it that we will never use.

All I can say is if you have owned the other games from EA in the tiger woods line you know what Im talking about there all full of BUGS !

Look for another golf game we can only hope some one brings a good one out !!
