bling

Features:
# World’s first 8GB Flash MP3 player, the largest capacity in the market
# Sleek, thin design with large 1.8” TFT color screen for easy viewing
# Strong alloy metal back casing provides excellent durability and scratch resistance
# Simple to use, backlit controls for fast device interface navigation
# User replaceable and rechargeable Lithium Ion battery for up to 20 hours of battery life
# Includes the Sansa Media Converter to support all picture and video formats
# Features microSD™ expansion slot for additional memory capacity
# Supports SanDisk TrustedFlash and Gruvi content cards
# Digital FM tuner, on-the-fly FM recording, and voice recording
# Supports Subscription Music Stores
I'd personally rather a greyscale LCD if it meant extra battery life; I have no interest in watching video or looking at photos on a 1.8" screen. 8gb isn't bad either; not as leet as a hard drive but it's awesome to see flash disks getting that extra size now.

Looks better than the nano but I agree that the extra realtive screen size etc seems a bit pointless (to me at least).

Agree with the comment that this seems to be another pointless electronic device. Will still prolly sell really well tho.

I have a 4gig version, and yeah...the screen is pretty tiny...but it's big enough to watch stuff on without too many hassles and it's not like I usually sit down to watch a full movie or anything like that on it. The best thing about the size it that it allows you to watch stuff without anyone knowing that you are which is handy for me at work.

Sigh :/. I take back my last comment on eK's new info. I think I could do with one of these right now. My boss has got me as her personal asssistant today and I'm so bored.

Your first comment was stupid because no one said it was another pointless electronic device.

Your first comment is stupid because it was clearly indicated by another that it was, and I agree (in spite of how bored I am).

It isn't another pointless electronic device, it has some very good aspects but also some superfluous crap that I feel it could go without. That's strike 1 boogie mama.

U never said a nano was good...u used the word "but" (to indicate that something bad was coming up)...and u ended the sentence with the word "pointless"...hmmm

Anyways, I was merely following on with a thought I had upon reading that post.

Now get back to work kids!

By highlighting a couple of words that fit my argument I've proven without a doubt that the nano is in fact good and you said it!

I've been looking in to this, and the 4GB version is significantly cheaper than the nano if you buy it from this store for $265.

I don't think it can play m4a's though... and I'd like to know if it's compatible with iTunes...

I still reckon that Sony Ericsson phones are the way to go. 3MP camera, phone, up to 4gig storage i think, mp3 player, video player, radio. +u always have it with u.

With PlayForSure (WM9 & 10) having just been cracked i'm not sure iTunes is even relevant any more. It's popularity only came about once iTunes for windows was released, and now that you can get all-the-songs-in-the-world for a once off "monthly fee" of $8 instead of $1 each it's not going to be relevant for much longer.

natslovR, only if you're willing to give up all your scruples and accept the Call of Juarez (POP GAME REFERENCE)!

Has anyone tested that new WMA cracker? I'm interested from a purely technical standpoint (mp3s fo life, dawg), plus it's no doubt going to have massive effect on those subscription services.

I buy all my music on CD, but i'd certainly like to know if the program is as fast as the articles say. I don't actually know anyone that admits to licensing music online, so haven't tested it myself.

Yeah, I have to admit, the Sony Ericsson phones are pretty good...no need for an ipod or any other music storage device.

Well, I don't know how it works, but I imagine you're able to listen to music and still send an sms...

Or just turn the music off momentarily and talk on the phone...

BTW, I don't imagine the music has to overtake the memory capacity IF that's what ur getting at...

I don't want a mobile phone so I don't want to be able to send an SMS or make a call so the mobile phone bit is pointless.

I don't want drunk Hardballs calling me up in the middle of the night.

Oh ok, fair enough.

Note, I deleted my last post cos I was going to ask - what if someone wants to call u?

(Other than drunken Hardballs late at night)

They can get me at home, the rest of the time I'm busy work and my friends know they can get me on msn or email if they need.

The need to flame 99 so f***ing badly at the loss of having her post more is getting closer to my want of her not posting at all at the loss of me not flaming her. My restraint is only human...

Why do u think I continue to post when I've already made my points known and I know that continual posting annoys u...

PS Time to get over it Billy.

That thing is pretty damn nifty. The long charge the battery holds and being able to replace it yourself is a major plus imo. Also, I like the idea of flash memory. Seems like a sturdier thing to have in your pocket while you jog when compared to a HDD. I think I'd still be leaning towards the Creative Nomad Vision M though.
