In what could be one of the quickest turn-arounds for a new videogame IP being attached to the silver screen, EA and Visceral Games' critically acclaimed Dead Space has been attached to Disturbia and Eagle Eye director DJ Caruso as one of a few projects he has in the pipeline.

The project was officially revealed by Variety, but currently there isn't even a scriptwriter on board, so it might be a while before we see it. Still, DJ Caruso is by no means a bad director, and the cinematic scope of Dead Space does lend itself to an awesome sci fi horror experience, so hopefully this license is treated with the respect it deserves.
