Carlos Santana will feature in Guitar Hero 5 in both music form and as a digital recreation of himself, Activision have revealed.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and 11-time Grammy Award winner, Carlos Santana, is set to appear as an exclusive in-game artist in the upcoming Guitar Hero 5. Santana's accomplishments span four decades and more than 40 albums including the self-titled album, Santana, that launched one of the most recognizable Latin-infused classic rock anthems, "No One to Depend On." The live version of the song will be featured in Guitar Hero 5 with Carlos Santana jamming on stage as a playable character.

Someone should make a program so you can chuck your own music in and it will analyze the track so we don't have to put up with games that have maybe 10 cool songs and 50 crap ones.

You could call it something like "Phase", and maybe you could play it somewhere where all your music is, like your iPod.

Or maybe you could just put your own song in yourself and author it. Some kind of "Rock Band Network" of songs.

You work on one of those guitar hero things don't you sprayNwipe? Why haven't they made it so you can dump all the tracks onto the HDD so you don't have to swap discs over? Is it a license issue or too hard or not worth the hassle or they are planning on it?
