Warner Bros. Interactive have sent through a reminder their survival horror/fps outing, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, is available across the country from today for purchase on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

You can nab the PC demo locally from us if you're keen to see if it's up your alley before spending any hard-earned cash, while Xbox 360 and PS3 owners can also download a demo for the game from their platform's respective marketplaces.

We've already posted our review of the final product, which you can check out here. Otherwise, head on in to our F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin game page for more.

I have just played 5 levels of this game and i gotta say its a really good game (single play ) not much of the scary scary stuff yet but the environment and lighting are first class. 8/10 so far will try multiplay later on.

I'm in two minds for this game... it looks good but so many bad remarks about it... just not sure..

I'm guessing he means dumbing down the game for play on consoles.

Control scheme is simplified a bit, auto-aim, etc.

Surely you can switch that off though? I just found it an odd comment because it didn't feel like a gimped dumbed-down version at all when I played the demo on PC.

I know I'm reviving an old thread but I just bought this the other day and absolutely loving this game.. I played the first 3 levels last night and loved every second of it... This is the first time I'm playing single player all the way through since quake1.. Tried playing other games SP but got bored... SP games have come a long way, the graphics and sounds are extremely immersive.. I must also say that I have never been freaked out so much by a game, there was one bit where I turned around and that f***ing bitch alma was standing right behind me, I jumped out of my seat!! those little f***ers that climb on the walls n s*** scared the f*** outta me too... anyway 10/10 for me, recommend this game to anyone.. cheers.

I played it on PC not console, wouldn't recommend playing on console as my cousin bought the first fear for his ps3 and it looked like f***ing s***... I also never played the first fear so I have nfi what is going on, all I know is this alma bitch f***ing owns and it's all some sort of a government experiment.
