Gaming blog MCV is reporting on comments from Treyarch Executive Producer Garrett Young claiming that their upcoming James Bond title Quantum of Solace: The Game will be the game that sets the series back on track.
"We’re not trying to fix anything EA did wrong, because that’s just what they did,"

“I’m sure the series pissed off a lot of gamers over the last few years as the games started to go downhill, but we have no control over that.”

“The pressure we feel is more about launching this franchise in the right way. We know that you only have one chance to make a really great first impression, and this is it.”
Quantum of Solace will be the first James Bond licensed title published by Activision since securing the the license (previously held by Electronic Arts) in 2006.

EA's releases over the past decade have included James Bond 007: NightFire, Agent Under Fire, From Russia With Love, The World is Not Enough and Everything or Nothing, none of which were really bad games. Everything or Nothing in particular was a solid title that meshed EA's Need for Speed driving technology with third person action and top notch voice acting. So Treyarch had best be working on something pretty special if they want to live up to those words.

You can see some footage from Quantum of Solace in the E3 2008 trailer and Activision's press conference demonstration.

If they make it like Goldeneye64 then it might have a chance. That still remains to be the best bond game released imo.

If Treyarch can f*** up Call of Duty, they can certainly f*** up James Bond.

Everything or Nothing was a pretty sweet game, I'll be happy if they can top that.

when someone releases a game on a nintendo that doesn't feature mario it tends to be memorable.
