EA Australia have confirmed to us that the full version of the Spore Creature Creator is coming to Australian users. While it is currently available for purchase for people in the USA and Europe, it's not accessible to Australians from the EA site due to region limitations.

The full details are yet to be announced, but rest assured you'll have the chance to obtain the full version. More information will be available soon, so stay tuned. In the meantime, check out the trial!

You can get it from direct2drive. (no real need to get a hard copy of a portion of a game that will be included in the full version and is only 300MB to download from online content providers)

Why does australia get screwed so hard when it comes to games? ITS A DEMO FFS! what is so f***ing hard to get right about a un-regionalised release?

I think you're misinformed or just retarded. The 'demo' creator is freely downloadable from EA/ausgamers. The full creature creator costs $10, but it also goes towards the preorder of the game.

So the demo is out, but the full creature creator is not out for Australians. This is only the EA online store, sites like direct2drive have it available to Australians.

AU dollar is really good against NZ at the moment so it'll be interesting to see what the price is in AUD when it comes out over here. At this rate it'll probably be cheaper to buy in NZ anyway.
