Napster has launched the worlds biggest online music store, after relaunching their site with a new per-track sales model. The store will sell DRM free music at around the same price as industry leading iTunes Music Store.
Until now Napster had focused on selling "all-you-can-eat" monthly streaming music subscription packages, but had struggled to win over the majority of fans wanting to be able to transfer songs they like on to a portable device such as the popular iPod.
The store is currently available to US users only. promoted forum item

still wont be gettin into buying individual tracks. Albums are designed to be listened to in full.
JB ftw, they're so cheap anyways.

I think the big thing to distinguish them from itunes is the DRM Free part billy.

i've never used itunes, but afaik, you can only transfer a tune to so many devices, and they are passworded to boot.

Non-DRM high quality tracks are the same price as normal tracks in iTunes - there's just not as many but they are increasing.

If I had a steady income I would buy online much more often.
