GDC 2008 kicks off tomorrow in San Francisco and I am here to keep an eye on the happenings for AusGamers to make sure nothing gets out of hand (you know, in case all the PC developers decide to announce they're switching to MMOs or something, I'll step up). There's a lot of interesting things planned for this week - this is my first GDC so I'm not sure what it's usually like, but I was a little surprised at all the press-related events that are going on, so hopefully I'll be able to share some interesting bits and pieces.

Two of the bigs things I'm looking forward to: the two keynotes, one by Microsoft and one by Ray Kurzweil, looking at the future of gaming - and a big "press conference by global technology leaders in the PC gaming" (hints) which hopefully will breathe some life back into the PC gaming world. Stay tuned!

If Will Wright is speaking, i wanna know wtf he said! He spoke last year.

He isn't speaking per se (ie, there's nothing at GDC - that I know of - that he's presenting at), but there's a "Night with Will Wright" thing on Thursday night here. I'll let you know how it goes.

Any new goss / personal impressions (if it's playable) on Street Fight IV would be cool.
