jmr suggested a change to make the subjects a little longer when looking at the forum index:

http://www.josh.net.au/images/albums/userpics/10001/hmmm.JPG

I'm made a change so instead of 18 characters, it's now 28. It still certainly could be longer for me, but I run in 1600x1200 so I don't want to adjust it just for me needs.

Lemme know what you think of the chance and what res you're using. If you're using a non-standard resolution please just pick the closest one that matches your screen size.

What resolution are you running in for your main monitor?

It's really no biggie. What i can't read in the thread title only makes for more suspenseful viewing.

I would rather the implimentation of each post as a seperate div or table to prevent massive images f***ing up the rest of a thread :)

I hope you are just using 1280x1024 as the closest resolution to 1280x960.

Personal profile setting for text length IMO!

Speaking of profiles, whenever I click profile under someones name it always shows my profile, even though the URL refers to their ID number.

Seriously, so long as it can wrap if the length is exceeded, who cares if the title is long (within reason).

Feature - profiles were disabled yonks ago. Massive overhauls of the profile page are on my TODO, getting closer.

Just take QGL off ausnetwork and run it on PHPBB or PunBB :P Why go through the agony of having to hack stuff all the time when you could just set up the new forum once with the appropriate modifications and then be more or less done barring updates which you didnt have to do...

phpBB is the s***tiest most unsecure and crap forum software around. SMF is where it's at.

wtf is 1280x1024?
I voted for it, but I'm running 1280x960 as that's the true 4:3.

screen res is not the real issue here it should be browser window size. I think my browser window size is about 800x600..

Yeh, that's also true. I don't run in full size windows on 1600x1200.

because when I want to change something, I don't want to have to learn a whole new codebase

make it dynamic to suit whatever resolution each person has.
that being said, everyone is getting 20" widescreen, 1680x1050 i reckon.
