Does anyone know of any decent mpeg splitting software that will handle mpeg movies that are around 10 to 20GB in size, but at set timeframes that I can specify? And also is able to detect when there is a scene change?

Can be either windows or linux software, either will do.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Just tried to open a couple of the mpeg files in virtualdub 1.5.10 and it doesn't like the files. "No video frames found in MPEG file"

Ya need to get Virdual Dub MPEG-2, slighty different version, that handles those type of mpegs. I dunno about splitting though....i always thought you couldnt do anything with mpegs.....had to convert to AVI and then work from there...:S

Yeah, VirtualDubMPEG2 or VirtualDubMod.

Both can be found at doom9

TMPEG's good for splitting MPEG1/2 but don't know how it would go with 20gig files. Most i've ever done is a couple of gig.

it would still be fine, just take a long time and need hella hard drive space

Why do you even have 20 gig mpeg files?

Also, software that detects scene changes is dodgy at best.
