If you are one of the many people wanting to come to the QGL Finals this weekend and you're not sure if you can make it, please DO NOT just rock up tomorrow morning and expect to get a seat. If you are not registered and confirmed as being a valid registrant you almost certainly will be turned away before 12pm.

My advice is to get up early and keep an eye on this website - we'll keep it updated with information about how the hall is filling up. If you have registered and confirmed, you'll have to make sure you've entered and paid by 12pm, or else your seat will be up for grabs.

Two things.

Firstly how come people who havent confirmed are still in the player list? Shouldnt they be removed so that those on the waiting list know if they can come now?

Secondly your user system is case sensitive. So you have several people with the same name, but with strategically placed capital letters. That sux.

I have counted 90 people with placings who are not confirmed, so i guess the first 90 confirmed people on the waiting list get to go.

Well Im like 16 or 20 in the waiting list which is why I made the post.

I quote from the registration email qgl sent out.

"Confirmations close at 12:00am, Thursday 28 November.
Players who have not confirmed by this date will have their
registration cancelled! You *must* confirm in order to attend
QGL LAN Finals 2002!."

Frankly Im getting a little annoyed. First The rego system is broken. It tells me Im 469 but Im really 526.

"This is an automatically generated message.

You are registered player #469 of 500 for QGL LAN Finals 2002! (Saturday, 30 November)"

Then rego closes and Im still 526 or whatever.

Please get your s*** sorted out. How many other people do you think wont turn up cause they are confused?

i was 55 on the waiting list, then when the confo was sent out it said i was #495. After some quick phone calls to get my friends password so that i could confirm him (his net was broken) we found out that it had not actually changed on the ausgamers list. and now i am still on the list!

i think i will just turn up tomorrow morning at 9 AM (after a quick check on the net) and if they dont let me in i will complain about it!

Can we get a definate answer?

Should the people in the waiting list who are confirmed assume they are in the #500 or assume we are not?

Ok both Avalon and H'Muffin are confirmed. Mooj is not, unless you've registered under another nick.

Anyone else that has concerns regarding their position in the list, please let me know via either mantra@qgl.org or email qgl@qgl.org and I'll keep an eye on it and let you know.

Hey guys is there a way to find out if there are free spots tomorow? I wouldnt be able to turn up till about 6 - 7pm so how would I go about checking if there are free spots around that time?
