Well its been a wild ride, and with three days to go till the Largest lan ever in Queensland, possibly the largest in Aus, we thought we would share with you some footage from the first ever offical QGL lan! Its fitting that this was also a Wireplay event, and even more fitting in that it was the comp that was used as the seedings for our first league season. There is a much higher quality DivX version available here if you want it looking lush.

I assume we will be able to download demos of the final matchups after the event (hello Boba). Dunno whether ill watch 'em at the finals or not, might be too busy playing...

a while ago i saw that nobody could spectate in the actual game in the finals, if this is so are they gonna have big projecters like in the movie? coz it'd be really crap if we have to wait till its over to grab the demo to then watch the match.

We'll be having projectors and QTV beaming out to the net as well. The demos will be made available not only on the local web/ftp at the lan, but on the QGL website as well for those unfortunates that can't make it.

Won't we be able to connect and watch with QTV?

I admit quake has been around for some time, and that it has a cult-like following... I also admit that it must be good seeing so many people play it. But I have to stand up for my fellow CS gamers and say that CS is actually a fun game, if u guys bothered to get involved with it. Probably coz u got killed so easily first go u decided to bugger back to ur quake game...

I don't have a problem with that, less idiots like some Quake followers in our CS servers.

I'm happy and thankful CS is involved in the LAN.

this argument wasnt because cs is gay u faget, it was because some dope asked why there was all quake in that movie and no cs (even though it was filmed in 1998)

DeePer - sounds like a real hoot, though from my experience of quakers playing CS they will slut the AWM and scout :D

The Quaker mentality:
"Mmm... AWM = Railgun".

CS'ers get cained when they play Q3 for the first time. That's why quakers are always proposing this idea, cause they know they'll play better in CS than the CS'ers will in Q3.

Anyways, there are always clans that can play both (CFu is a good example).
