My Son is saving up for an Oculus Quest.
Research I've done so far is that it's for the casual gamer. But if you want to VR play steam games etc.. you need the Oculus S. Anyone had any experience with either? Can you stream from Steam to the Quest? |

Quest is a stand-alone VR device. There is no connectivity to PC, but I think you could stream movies to it etc. Games-wise its a closed ecosytem. For SteamVR you want the S (or another similar HMD) and a beefy-ish PC. Oculus stuff will work in Steam OK. |

It was just announced that from November you will be able to plug the Quest into a PC to play Rift games.

it's not exactly a closed ecosystem, you can sideload SteamVR games on the Quest with OpenVR also Facebook Horizon look's pretty cray. here's a funny trailer for it |
