Yep, we know this is another Watch This post, but we can't help that Friday appears to be 'drop that new video/trailer day' for developers and publishers. Ahem. Anyway, Firaxis has dropped a new video/trailer highlighting the deep, myriad new features its forthcoming Civilization VI expansion, Gathering Storm, will feature. And truth be told, there's a lot here. This is a six-plus minute video that goes in-depth on how dynamic and ever-changing this new game-world will be for players, and just how much it changes up how you approach the game. From diplomacy to dealing with natural disasters, this is arguably the biggest shape-up the series has seen since the introduction of the hexagonal unit tile. The second expansion to Civilization VI introduces an active planet where geology and climatology present unique new challenges. Chart a path to victory by developing new advanced technologies and engineering projects and negotiating with the global community in the World Congress on critical issues. The choices you make in the game will influence the world ecosystem and could impact the future of the entire planet. Natural disasters like floods, storms, and volcanoes can pillage or destroy your Improvements and Districts – but they may also refresh and enrich the lands after they pass.Watch the new video for the game's features embedded below. |
