Starting with Fallout 4, and then continuing with Skyrim Special Edition, Bethesda expanded its support for player-created mods on PC by introducing them into the worlds of Xbox One and PlayStation 4. This integration will continue this winter with Creation Club -- a place where creators can be paid for new original creations. More than just a way to monetise existing mod-support found in both Fallout 4 and Skyrim, the Creation Club paves the way for people to work directly with Bethesda to bring forth new content. Creators are required to submit documentation pitches which go through an approval process. All content must be new and original. Once a concept is approved, a development schedule with Alpha, Beta and Release milestones is created. Creations go through our full development pipeline, which Creators participate in. Bethesda Game Studios developers work with Creators to iterate and polish their work along with full QA cycles. The content is fully localized, as well. This ensures compatibility with the original game, official add-ons and achievements. From there people are able to browse, install, and buy creations through the use of specialty Credits than can purchased online. Now, it's worth noting again that this isn't a pay for mods system, but one focused on bringing new content to both Fallout 4 and Skyrim. With Bethesda noting that, and this is important, "Mods will remain a free and open system where anyone can create and share what they’d like. Also, we won’t allow any existing mods to be retrofitted into Creation Club, it must all be original content". It certainly sounds interesting, and something that we'll be keeping a close eye on. |

Paid mods 2.0. Not too keen on this. Going to need to see a lot more of what will actually be on there. But if it is mostly Mud Crab followers and crappy bows.... i am not interested. http://i.imgur.com/4pIcM4q.jpg Zenimax must be looking for more revenue streams. I am concerned that free mods will dry up on the nexus in favor of this. Also how much are these coins? $10 for 500 coins and you can shove the coins up your arse. |

I am completely confused by this. Creators are paid through credits that are purchased online but it's not a pay for mods system? |
