you wot?

I wonder how much share CD Projekt offered Sapkowski. Bet he's kicking himself now.

Also, The Witcher 3 is probably the best game of all time. And one of the few that manages to top it with it's DLCs, Heart of stone was so good.

+1 to Capitalism on this one.. considering CD Projekt was founded not long after transfer of a planned economy to a market based one, and here we are.

yeah he's just salty for turning down royalties.

I doubt most people had ever even heard of his books until the games came out. He sold the rights to CD Projekt Red cheap because he didn't give a s*** about games and figured it would fail, so yeah hes probably just salty now that it did so well

While I do think it's good, Skyrim is much better with endless replay-ability and modding.

Preface: this just just my opinion so nobody get f***ing salty.

Zelda > Witcher > Skyrim

Personal Playtime

Zelda (164h) > Skyrim (50h) > WItcher (20h)

you only get that scene if you romance both of them during the game.

20hrs in Witcher 3 is about as long as it takes to play the prologue :P

Witcher 3 is awesome, no doubt.

Yeah he made a huge mistake if he didn't go for some kind of perpetual % on the royalties from the rights.

What retard doesn't have some level of royalty income for his works when sold like this. If you think it's gunna fail, for sure go for the up-front cash. However, just have a small % down, just in case...

Salty man is salty.

What he should be is happy, seeing the opportunity to piggy-back on the success of the game and write book tie-in to the game.
I wonder if the dudes ego is blinding him, imagine seeing someone else be much more successful with your life's work.

he doesn't consider the games as part of his canon so he won't ever do tie ins. there's a rumour that he's specifically writing a book in order to contradict the game series story lines.

What an arrogant dick, I hope if they adapt it into a film or a tv series or something, they adapt the story of the game instead of his books just as a f*** you.

But yeah, I'd probably hold Witcher 3 over Skyrim as well, and I played 200+ hours of Skyrim so its not like I didn't like it or anything. Its just I prefer the stronger narrative structure of the Witcher I guess, you can make more of a story when you're playing an actual character with a history and stuff, compared to Skyrim which is more open ended and you play the faceless, silent protagonist, the story ends up a lot looser as a result.

just finished the final DLC. Im gonna miss that franchise :(

Yeah Khel, The witcher is far more immersive & emotional experience over Skyrim or any RPG i've played to date.

Bloodborne 2 is pretty heavily tipped to be a thing

Bloodborne is on my list of games to circle back around to one day, I still have it installed on my PS4, see it every time I boot it up and think "I really gotta give that some more time one day". I gotta finish Mass Effect and Horizon first, but then its next on my list

oh, are you still playing the first one?

i just cant get into it, dumb mechanics ruin it.

I'm going to need to finally get past the 2nd boss in Bloodborne then :( I think it's Father Gascoigne

blaming the game for your inability to adapt to a faster style of combat

inability to see the guns for what they really are

Guns as main weapons in a souls type game would break it i think.

That's some impressive riposte action pave.. I've always been awful at that

i don't get why it is so hard to understand that the guns for the era just weren't that good to be taking down mutant f***ing werewolf beasts in 1 shot, they are like muskets firing pellets not M-16's

it really isn't that far of a stretch for everyone else except you

but i suspect as you have figured out that you aren't very good at the game you have began nitpicking at everything to make it sound like the game is the problem.

i am utterly terrible at parrying in dark souls but i am alright at it in bloodborne i think because of the range somehow

jack would destroy you based on that game play (in dark souls, coz we dont like bb coz its dumb)

I like the gun parrying system, I'm pretty s*** at it though. Only dudes I can reliably do it to are the big frankenstein's monster things that try and hit you with a brick, cos they're so slow and telegraph their attacks so much. Werewolves just f*** me up cos they're so fast
