Topic: Where to buy: Teapot with infuser + warmer

Im looking to buy a present for somebody - a teapot with an infuser inside and a warmer base thing.

I dont drink tea so im unsure what to look for or where to look for but thought somebody on here might have some ideas. Ive tried ebay and google shopping but thats the extent of my online search abilities for an item like this.

I figure a larger volume means more tea throughout the day with less refills. At the moment this is my best find - 1300ml for $61 with postage.

Thanks.

Checked all 3. No dice. Thanks for the suggestion though. Harvey's suggested "tapout" instead of "teapot" for that tapout XT workout vid thing, lol.

Also, is 'hardly normal' a thing cause ive only ever seen Hog (IIRC) say it.

If they are really into tea it is all about temperature and time (obsessively, like coffee snobs but most places make s*** tea). There is a $300 breville I think that does a bunch of temps and steeping times. But I did hear of a new model that does three temps and about 6 steeping times. Sorry not sure who makes it but it was much cheaper, and still good for the job

Maybe try T2, the missus bought a pot and infuser separately from there and they work together well. dunno how much it cost but looking at the website you can grab infusers for less than $20 and and 6+ cup teapots for $35-50.
I never used to drink but she won me over with all the awesome stuff from T2

Wow, that $300 breville thing.

T2 looks good. 1.3L teapot for $36 with infuser and collection from chermside isnt difficult. Just need the warmer thing and they dont seem to stock it but have found them sold solo online.

It's been a thing for years, we've always called them that.

The secret is to look at the pouring physics. I have bought a few now and admit I didn't look closely enough before buying.
You don't want to have to tip the teapot too far to get the tea pouring out. It's clumsy
My favorite one comes from an op shop. It holds heaps of tea for iced tea in summer.
See if you can find one that actually has a spout, let me know if you find one like that.
I have seen some at Woolworths, target and at 2 dollar shops. Also at flash kitchen shops in Westfield malls.
You should have plenty of choice.

The clear ones are pretty and you can see how ready the tea is. They get stained over time though.

They can keep the tea warm with a tea cosy. Get someone to knit one custom for whichever teapot you buy them for totally awesome unbeatable present.

Get them some tea too - http://www.daintreetea.com/ best tea ever.

edit ok I see you wanted an electric warmer function. not keen myself. wouldn't go there
