Two chain links, a seatbelt and one small wire to hold you in. I got nauseous just watching the video. Anyone that can ride it? Good luck to you. |

Holy s***. I'm average with heights. Bending over a balcony high up gets me. I'd give this a whirl because you are locked in.

That little kid was also "locked in" to that frisbee ride (or whatever it was called), look how well he did. Oh wait. |

Not a big one for rides which is a shame because everyone else really seems to love them. I like speed in a straight line because as soon as a few corners are tossed in my stomach doesnt want to play anymore. Davo i see less fatties here than i see back home in Australia, perhaps its just the state i live in. You dont see fatties all over the place like some people would have you believe. |

Last time i heard Aus and USA quite similar in percentage of overweight/obese people? Im sure it would vary by location though. I just remember when i was @ universal studios there was a f***load of fat people on the rides. I assume rides need to take into account the total combined weight of the riders as well as the weight distribution around the seats as well as the individual's weight. While this probably wouldnt matter for something like the jurassic park ride i wonder what the limits are for the OP ride. |

Do you sign a waiver for your life? I would definitely be on that though, loved going to Dreamworld once a week and taking on the thunderbolt. Though I'd need to go get my back massaged afterwards. |

Went on the tower of terror multiple times = best fun ever (that other one [big drop?] wasn't there at that time). Odd that going around fast corners in a cart / car doesn't have the same effect though. |

That sounds like me whoop, i love straight line speed but you put me through a couple of corners or doing circles and i am screwed. It sucks because my son even from a really young age loves all the badass rides and i could never stomach going on them with him. Hell the old batman ride cinema thing at warner bros used to f*** me up aswell. |

I am big manchild when it comes to theme park rides. Absolutely love them. I remember being so scared before going on the Tower of Terror for the first time and then feeling nothing but sheer exhilaration on my first ever run. I can't believe that was 16 years ago holy f***. The Giant Drop still gives me the heebie jeebies. Especially when you're sitting up there when the ToT runs and the whole thing shakes. I reckon the best ride on the coast at the moment is the Superman ride at Movieworld. Such a smooth and fast ride that one. |

Hell the old batman ride cinema thing at warner bros used to f*** me up aswell. Not sure which ride it was, it was just like a merry go round but faster. I was fine on that rollercoaster thing at movieworld years ago and in that room where you "flew" through stuff (whole room was on hydraulics). I can also throw myself around on a gokart and be thrown around in a rally car (that WRX experience thing on the GC) without issue. It just seemed to be going round and round in circles that made me want to find out what I ate for breakfast. I tried closing my eyes but that just made it worse :( e: so, QGL dreamworld day? :) |

fine with the height, maybe not so fine with a few chains that I'm sure were thoroughly tested for structural integrity, but hey...
bit of a pussy with all of those "rides" that you aren't personally in control of (to a degree) i guess |

Speaking of scary rides, got an MRI done today. Im not claustrophobic but wow, i can imagine it being a nightmare for anybody with a fear of enclosed spaces. Add in the loud noises as well. Dunno how fat people fit in either. Think i saw briefly on TV how they are now specially designing fancy diagnostic devices to support the obesity epidemic. |

the last time i went to dreamworld they had just opened the cyclone roller coaster. it must have been at least 10+ years ago. it was a fun roller coaster, much better than the thunderbolt which used to hurt like a bitch from all the jostling.
tower of terror was awesome, i've heard it goes backwards along the track now. |

When i was @ universal studios they had a singles line where you could bypass all the people lined up in groups and line up with the other loners. Also ensure you dont have any of the banned stuff on you when lining up (either hide it or give it to somebody you know - ideally another loner you alternate with for rides). Do that and you could speed run most of the rides. There were some angry arabs (not racist, just thats who they were) who caused a scene @ the superman ride cause they couldnt carry their wallets or sunnies or some s***. Security was called and they were escorted out. Slowed my speed run down :( And speaking of speed runs, good ol newsdotcomdotau reported that rich families in the USA are hiring disabled people to pose as family members while visiting disney land so they can cut the line and get on rides. $1000 a day they said the disabled people get. What a job - strap on an eye patch or something, get a disabled badge, find a rich fam and get paid $1000/day to ride themepark rides. CBF finding link, soz. |

yeah from what i remember of getting on the rides at six flags magic mountain, the wait in line meant you could only do so many of the rides in a day

I'd give this a whirl because you are locked in. Swinging around 400 feet in the air in a two person seat suspended by only chains with a metal bar across the mid section is not my idea of "locked in"... Where the safety regulations at? |

Heh had like 3 MRI'S recently, keep falling asleep inside of them.
also that ride looks pretty scary and boring at the same time, does nothing more than spin around in a circle :\ like they say, a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link! |

Just the other day I stayed up late reading wikipedia's 'list of amusement rides', so many fascinating rides to read about and all the times they've fallen apart or people have died
Then I started reading about Magic Mountain in Glenelg in South Australia, I have only a vague memory of going there but there were Sky Cycles, basically bikes on a monorail above everyone and it was the most awesome thing ever. There was also a cool jetty nearby. |
