Some sample solo material brought to you by Grooveshark (props to Freewheelin for finding it):

I thought you were going to link some live solo stuff. That whole Into the Wild album is great.

$110 :( :( :( :(

I wonder how "solo" the tour will be... I hate "solo" acts that are accompanied by a band. He'll surely play some songs with his support acts, but I wonder if the rest will really be solo or not.

$110.. WHAT THE f***!!!

Surely the promoter can't be serious..

I'm still tempted..

That means joe cocker, sting and eddie next year so far..

even at $110, Ill still go to it.

My guess it will be a once in a lifetime performance.
I hope this doesnt mean Pearl Jam won't tour again

Pearl jam are the new rolling stones, they will be around when eddie is on an oxygen bottle.

That's pretty much it, hard to say if he'd ever tour here solo again. At least with Pearl Jam, you know they'll be back in a few yrs.

$100 or so is the 'norm' for concerts now, you tight arses...

I paid $165 for Metallica and $135 for Muse.

I'll be going to this for sure!

is that all heardy.. ahah

2 tickets for metallica
1 ticket for tool
1 ticket for sting
1 ticket for joe cocker withgeorge thorogood
1 ticket for no sleep till
1 ticket for soundwave
The list goes on but sadly doesn't include zz top(not coming to brisbane)

and now add eddie to that, i'm over $800, then add almost another $2-250 just for tour shirts..

The pricing is getting ridiculous, costing more each time the band visits. The promoters think charging through the roof will make it better for them but it doesn't.

The worst promoters are dainty and Andrew McManus who charge crazy amounts for their shows. Robin Williams was like $150-160 for a ticket, show wasn't selling well and I was able to get ticket for $65. When kiss last came out tickets were also around $150, then a week before the show tickets were 2 for 1 because people just can't afford to fork out $150+ each time for a show.

Look at the bon jovi shows in sydney and perth, they are now selling tickets for like $50 due to sales being bad.

I'm whinging but at same time I'm happy to pay, especially for the likes of joe cocker and sting. They are getting on in age and are less likely to tour again compared to eddie.

The promoters need to ask themselves whether they want to charge $150+ a ticket and fill only half the stadium or charge $50-100 and fill out the stadium.

I trust Eddie vedder to not overcharge for tickets, considering they had a pretty big run-in with ticketmaster ? in the US in the early 90's over ticket prices.

Pearl jam tickets are always cheaper than other concerts on that year of equal size bands.

$100 is pretty much the minimum for tickets these days for a decent size act.

Damo yeh I went to 2 Metallica concerts too, but that wasn't the point I was trying to make...

I think good artists are worth decent money, provided they put on a good show!

The thing that pisses me off is the fee's and charges from the ticket agents, CC fee, per ticket fee, postage fee EVEN WHEN YOU GET E-TICKETS!@!!! !#

heardy, I don't know what i'm more pissed at. The pricing of tickets or the surchages that ticketek put on the tickets.

Pickup/delivery for robin williams - $9.50
Pickup/delivery for U2 - $18.00
Pickup/delivery for joe cocker - $9.50(i think)

Why does the U2 ticket need to be double the price for another show?

Why are we even being charged for wanting to pick up our ticket?

It's the same deal when buying tickets for the cinemas online as well. Total ripoff, you could argue that even if you're picking up the tickets at the box office, it could be considered a handling fee but if you just walked in off the street and bought them you wouldn't be charged that same fee, makes no sense to me until they're charging you extra for using up their precious bandwidth on their site.
