Topic: Chrome experiment - Arcade Fire's interactive music video

Rock band Arcade Fire have teamed up with Google to make an interactive video clip that is really, really darn cool. Enter the specific location of an area you're familiar with (it recommends the place you grew up). Then sit back and enjoy the song (I'm not a fan of the band at all, but the music goes so well with the experience) . Make sure you watch the whole thing too.

Also, it apparently works best in Chrome, and is CPU intensive, so for best results close all the other stuff you've got opened before starting the journey!

This is great to see - finally a band (and film creator Chris Milk) is reinventing the music video.

Pretty cool, but it's too bad that the aerial shots from Google Maps are kind of crap-looking when viewed like that.

Great idea for a video though.

I thought it was awesome for a look at what may be to come, as Billy says with this sort of tech on the way music videos (and videos for anything really?) may finally be reinvented.

Pretty cool. I don't know about others, but most images of my hometown were daytime pics - I reckon it would've gelled better with nighttime, to fit the running.
