Hey guy I spotted a plug for Minecraft over at http://www.teamfortress.com/
http://www.minecraft.net/ I tried to give it a go, but only the old version is freely playable, and apart from being a sort of like roller coaster tycoon's landscaping build mode in first person, I can't seem to figure out what the point of the game is?? Can't seem to find any info on the site? Anyone play this? |

Yeah I used to play with a heaps of people for ANZTF2MUG (its a community based around tf2 server of said name) There is no point, think lego with a s***load of people! Its good fun though - some people build some absolutely ridiculous things - rollercoaster, castles, crazy mazes.... Really need to join a server with some mates to get something out of it. |

OMG how did I miss this thread and game, it's so fun to just build stuff in the classic version, but then there's so much more in the paid alpha version. I was just mucking around and building a castle, but then clicked the wrong block and everything got flooded with water. :( Slashdot's ran a recent article about how the developer's paypal account was frozen. As for the game's purpose, in the classic version it's just really looks like a builder. There's multiplayer so you can get together with a few mates and do s*** like this: |

Wow so many people have problems with paypal. I've had some problems too, but I just dismissed it as legal compliance bulls***, but they probably screw people a little here and there all the time.

Gamer, I think your missing the point.. Minecraft is played in the browser - its multiplayer lego. Garrys Mod is in a completely different ballpark. |

Yea minecraft is compleeeetely different to garrys mod. I love both, but I play MC more. It's just soooo much fun. I lose hours over playing it by simply making random s***. Though me and a friend have a server now and a little community built up, and we're now creating a whole environment, its so much fun. |
