FX has a new show out that started this week called Justified. It's a western set in modern day times. Timothy Olyphant, who played Seth Bullock in Deadwood, is the lead character Raylan Givens and it is based on a short story written by Elmore Leonard

In this he's a US Marshall that gets sent to Kentucky to work as punishment for killing a bad guy in a shoot out that he'd given 24 hours to leave town. The first episode was pretty sweet. It's funny but serious. The modern day cowboy angle works really well in Kentucky which works as a great backdrop to this story.

Another site I read said that so far it's been well received and the TV critics that didn't like it were all women. My Mrs liked it but wasn't too sure at the same time.

It airs Tuesday US Time and the first season is 13 epsidoes.

Even after just one episode I'm giving this a HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

WARNING: only watch these trailers if you are on the fence about this show, they spoil all the good stuff in ep1.

First ep was great! Looking forward to more.

Four episodes in and this is still very good. Strong believable characters, great lines and good stories.

Seth Bullock fans should check out his new movie, The Crazies. Timothy Olyphant plays a small town Sheriff who shoots people. So you know it's going to be good. Throw in some super-organised zombies and it turns out to be a great romp. Not Oscar material for sure, but better than a lot of the other s*** you'll end up watching this year.
