It's Monday again, and as per usual, AusGamers is your one-stop Aussie gaming resource for game releases for the week (among other awesomeness).

Another reasonably big release week this week as we see big DLC and an even bigger XBLA release come in alongside a few key games. God of War III hits PS3, Assassin's Creed II finally arrives on PC, Command & Conquer: Tiberium Twilight also hits the desktop platform and Metro 2033 graces PC and Xbox 360. Runaway: A Twist of Fate keeps the point and click dream alive on PC, while RPG fans can finally beef up their Dragon Age: Origins experience with the DLC arrival of Awakening. And finally, my most anticipated game of the first half of this year lands on XBLA: Perfect Dark.

Woah Perfect Dark on the xbla. I'm guessing they made it look all pretty, increased the pixels and s***?

yeah, it's 1080p 60 frames per second - new textures (not the old ones at that res) and online multiplayer - gonna be siiiiiick

According to Eurogamer's review, there's a couple of neat features in Perfect Dark XBLA:

Practically everything is unlocked from the get-go, meaning you no longer have to slog through the main campaign to piece your multiplayer options together, and the GoldenEye weapons, which were originally only available in single-player, are now up for grabs in multiplayer too...

C&C4 this week? Man that snuck up quick. I really must go back & finish C&C3 just to get the story stuff checked out.

Assassins Creed II on PC is sweeeeet, get it bitches.

@Trauma Is it as repetitive as the first one?

eorl, read our review - it reveals all - Assassin's Creed II is not repetitive

^ I thought it was a bit, but mostly just didn't enjoy it.

God of war 3 looks awesome and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the demo. Pretty damn gory.

steve are you going to do a pc review of ac2? i think the drm would affect the score a bit, it did for pc powerplay.

this months pc powerplay mag gave ac2 a 5/10 due to the s***ty drm. only one paragraph talked about the gameplay. the rest was about how the drm prevented them from playing the game. it took them a whole day to just get through the prologue because the game and drm kept crashing and not saving their progress.

Have you had any issues with the DRM Trauma? I got it last week of steam and haven't even been able to play it yet ><

Ctd - From all reports the full version of God of War 3 looks even better than the demo, with more detailed textures & other effects etc. Kotaku has a nice comparison piece that goes into it a bit more, complete with screenies!

I've been googling around to find more out about that trilogy version of gow3 but I might buy the 1&2 package off playasia if I enjoy the 3rd.

Heh, nicely done. I'm glad the DRM isn't glossed over in reviews - once the DRM becomes such an obtrusive feature like it is in AC2 then it's difficult to disentangle it from the gameplay experience, just as much as a s***ty control scheme affects the experience for example.

Ted is an amazing site, the videos I've seen so far where very insightful.

Any ideas when Perfect Dark is hitting XBLA? Just checked the marketplace & it's only giving me themes & preview videos, no full game :(

darkjedi - XBLA games are usually released midnight Wednesday (Pacific Time), which is about 5-6PM here.

That's what i did, played the first 2 and now am anxiously awaiting the third.

Damn, turns out they changed XBLA releases from midnight Pacific to 2am Pacific a while back, so that's 7PM here.
