Well, the first Bad Company game had a single player campaign, stands to reason that the sequel would too. Especially since the name "Bad Company" comes from the campaign, it's not something they thought they'd just throw on the box.

Yeah it was working for about 5 mins earlier.
I got it working in the beta if the receiver logged out and logged in again whilst the sender was online it worked.

Having graphical issue with the game?

Then manually edit this file... C:\Users\*****\Documents\BFBC2\settings.ini

[WindowSettings]
Width=1920
Height=1200
Fullscreen=false
RefreshRate=59.950001
VSync=false
[Sound]
Quality=medium
VoipEnable=true
SpeakerCount=0
[Graphics]
Effects=medium
Soldiers=medium
Vehicles=medium
Overgrowth=medium
Undergrowth=medium
StaticObjects=medium
Terrain=medium
Shadows=medium
Bloom=false <- Set to false if you want to see further than 50 meters.
HSAO=false
MSAA=1
Water=Low <- It's only water ????????
MainQuality=medium
Texture=high
DxVersion=auto
Aniso=0 <- antistropic filtering if your taking a performance hit
Detail=medium
RenderAheadLimit=2
Fov=55

If you cant join or stay in a game. Make sure you have deleted the beta version fully, then rerun PBsetup.exe and make sure it points to the correct directory for your install. This is fixing the problem for most apparently.

If you dont have pbsetup, get it from www.evenbalance.com

Oh, and btw, I cant believe how very ordinary the graphics are in this game.

I've played a few hours tonight and haven't come across any glitches that I can remember. I've mostly been playing the single player campaign (which is awesome), but I squeezed in an hour or so of multiplayer. It's more reliable than the beta was (so far, anyway). No crashes, no server kicks. Runs a little better than the beta too.

My current distraction from Warcraft for the moment is this game. I haven't touched the multiplayer as of yet cause I'm cruising around in the single player making stuff go boom... and I do quite like making stuff going boom, generally to the point where I'm scouring the map for more ammo for my grenade launcher because I don't want to enter the building through the door like a sissy. Real men take out a wall! And the sound a building makes when you've made one too many holes and slowly collapses is a treat.

Slightly disappointed that while the game does use the same 4 characters from the last game, it doesn't continue the story from the first Bad Company but just does a reboot. But to be fair, at the end of the first Bad Company, I did drive off into the sunset with a truckload of gold so that could makes thing a little difficult to explain away in the sequel.

I might try some of the multiplayer on the weekend if I finish the singleplayer. But I don't think it could of changed too much from the multiplayer in the beta.

So.....
Anybody able to add servers to favourites etc?

Because when I try it just sits there "waiting for data..."
No idea why it tries to contact the server or anything to add to favourites, it SHOULD be all client side if they weren't retarded.

Refreshing the entire list is starting to f*** me off, especially when you can't do a quick refresh or easily sort/find the Australian servers....
Already starting to make me not want to bother trying to play with the pathetic browser.

Yeah takes a couple minutes for me to be able to load the server list, but it won't let me join any games. And as for favorites, they're being saved in a settings file on your computer...wtf do we have to connect to anything?!

And just another thing that's f***ing stupid. When you play single player and you reach a checkpoint and it comes up with saving, it doesn't save s***.

Cool, well, after spamming a GA server to get on, I got a spot..
Laggy, as... f***.
So much so it was unplayable.
Everybody was rubber banding all over the place (Although my own movements was smooth), I couldn't hit a thing because of it, bullets not registering etc. only to find out I actually apparently died a few seconds ago and rubber band back behind a wall or some stupid s***.

Frame Rate was smooth which was a big improvement over Beta for the same settings...
But the lag.... that was about 1000000x worse than beta and completely unplayable, I quit after about 5 minutes.

Not sure if it's Gamearena are just retarded and put too many server on the one pipe/machine or what... But other people were experiencing the same issue.
Mephz

Yep, just got on a different AU server that isnt game arena and is 32 player server that's filled up.
Zero lag, bullets actually connect properly, zero rubber banding...
Far better already.

I haven't looked through the server browser in the final version yet, but if it's as bad as the Beta was, then that's disappointing. I played a couple games online last night, but I just followed a friend to the server they were playing on.

Yeah, CDWoW is terrible, I wont be using them again. I ordered stuff off them that was listed as "Being in stock and will ship within 24 hours" on their website, took them a bit over a month to get it to me. When I ordered Madworld it took them over 2 months to get it to me, I'd forgotten I had even bought it then it just turned up one day.

Don't even bother connecting to GA servers, they are boned.
Runnign too many servers off too few machines I guess?

Played on maturegamers or something to that degree, either way, it was lag free and good fun.

I do think the sniperrifles are underpowered, given that people with regular AR's can just spam spam spam at similar ranges and not have to worry about bullet travel time + bullet drop + some horizontal shearing + Extremely finicky hitbox damage (the higher you hit the more damage you do which is fair enough, but it ranges to the single digit percentages per few pixels).

aurgh I've lost my M1 Garand and gotten some kind of s***ty WW2 machine gun instead.

I would actually recommend peeps don't add too many games to their BF Vet stats (unless the next level up makes it worthwhile)

getting a game on an Aussie server has been a mission (hello BF2....)

I took a stab in the dark and chased down some western eastern seaboard US servers (Chicago, etc). I can't believe something on the other side of the planet runs so well, yet so many local Aussie servers run like dogs balls

I've only played one GA server today (4 vs 4). It was pretty much perfect.

I've been running the .exe manually from the install directory to run with admin privs. I have no issue with saving favourites anymore but it's still too much clicking on "Next" to get into a game. I want to be able to just point at a server and then have it login. Sad that my beta ranks were reset.

Prick US people playing on our servers cause it's easy kills since they had 2-3 days release time ahead of us, so we run around day 1 rank 0 and they have rank 25 already. Annoying as.. but satisfying when default sniper loadout kills them fine. :P

Its actually pretty damn good, much better than the beta, i basically wrote it off cause the beta imo was s***. The maps make it, also you need a pc that can handle it, if not try doing this

start/my doc/bfbc2/settings

[WindowSettings]
Width=1680
Height=1050
Fullscreen=true
RefreshRate=60
VSync=false
[Sound]
Quality=low
VoipEnable=true
SpeakerCount=0
[Graphics]
Effects=low
Soldiers=low
Vehicles=low
Overgrowth=low
Undergrowth=low
StaticObjects=low
Terrain=low
Shadows=low
Bloom=false
HSAO=false
MSAA=0
Water=low
MainQuality=low
Texture=low
DxVersion=9
Aniso=0
Detail=low
RenderAheadLimit=2
Fov=60

basically setting everything to low, but the main one is DxVersion=9, runs surprisingly smooth now, much more enjoyable, and knifing people is still as satisfying as ever even after many years of bf :) Enjoying this more than i thought i would.. gg

For some reason the game is bugged and won't allow you to change the Enemy VO to English.

If you go into your Documents folder and enter the BC2 folder. Open up the GameSettings.ini

Scroll down until you find- OriginalVOForEnemyTeam=1

Edit this to OriginalVOForEnemyTeam=0

Should work for everyone I'd imagine.

I got a swanky ATI card (5970 - can't wait to see nVidia's new offering cause I'm still not impressed with this card overall) an flatmates still going strong on nVidia without crashing with same frequency.

I however, crash to desktop every other map an then on occasion after (fairly frequently) I have rejoined a map I was already in (after a restart)...

Talking to a few other peeps I know who all have the same probs an it only seems to effect ATI users (this frequently).

the server browser is really s***. It takes so long to find a spot on a server. And then i'll probably crash to whitescreen. So it's close BFBC2, back in to server browser to try and connect to a game

i think i spend longer in server browser than playing the game, but it's still worth it cause the game is awesome.

i've got an 8800gt, on win7x64 quadcore something.

It looks like it's a gfx card problem because the game whitescreens but i can still here stuff and move around

anyone know a command to force a reset of the video card or something magic that doesn't mean i have to end process and start again?

Couldn't connect to.. anything - video issues - having to open the game directly - having to manually update PB - random crashes... - omg the server browser! Another painful release by EA..

All in all I have it working perfectly now though, It's a great game so far. The graphics comment was uncalled for - Max settings @ 2560x1600 on 30" is straight sex..

The server browser in this game is so royally f***ed. You can't even see server pings unless you're running the game in admin mode, and even then, it doesn't even show all of them. It's so f***ing hard to just find a game that's hosted in Australia and isn't full or empty.

I do this, then just scroll through the list until I find something Australianish in the name.

What really pisses me off is its not like server browsers are a new invention and its not like the data they show has altered in the past nearly 20 years. You would think that it would be the only thing not riddled with bugs.

Maybe someone could send DICE a Valve game so they can have a look at what a decent server browser looks like.

Doing a great server browser must be harder then what people think. It is so often a substandard part of a game, even on AAA titles. They are getting information for thousands of servers, sending to it to hundreds of thousands of players.

Perhaps they didn't do a great browser model, not anticipating the sheer number of players/servers. Perhaps there were trade offs because they possibly used the same model for Xbox/PS3/PC.

I honestly don't think I've used an in-game server browser since I started playing online games. I always used to use gamespy except for quake3 because the in-game browser in rocket arena 3 was gamespy built into the game. There was a brief period where I used The Arena and these days I use the server browser in xfire.

The only time I use the in-game game finder now is in mw2 because I have no choice.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the whole leveling system that's made its way into online FPS these past few years. Ranking up is fine, but having to unlock your weapons is retarded. Hell, the medic doesn't even start with the med-pack, nor does the support start with the ammo-pack. That's just retarded.

Been playing this over the weekend, single player is short and sweet, server browser is a bit ropey - why they didn't just let you filter by ping like all the other battlefields I have no idea (ping < 150)..

I am loving the multiplayer gameplay, squad rush is damn fun, really fast paced game,

I have noticed more and more servers are running hardcore mode - which I seem to be preferring, I don't like having to empty half a clip into somebody to drop them, only problem is, if you jump on any of the mounted turrets on a vehicle, you have absolutely no idea where you are going to fire, as the camera angle does not look down the barrel...

With a patch I reckon this game will be around for quite a while - just a shame it wasn't fully polished before release.

Just an idea for the snipers - when half the team is already sniper and a tank is smashing the people actually trying to complete an objective, please snipe with an RPG.....

No, this is a new problem that came up yesterday. I was getting it as well but had deleted the beta last week. So its not to do with the Beta. It just seem to happen suddenly. I had been playing ok and then could'nt stay connect to servers for more than 10 seconds before being kicked due Punkbuster. I have also re run Pbsetup and all of my PB files are up to date.

This game is riddled with f***ing bugs. c***s should not be releasing games until they are market ready. EA, I hate you for what you have done to the games industry.

Also, COD4 was 3 cents cheaper than MW2, I f***ing lol'd.

f*** this is such horses***.

I've had the game since release and I am yet to join a server, or even see a server for that matter.

I keep hitting 'full refresh' and it has only brought up 1 server in the last 4 days (it was probably in Indonesia or some s***)

I've tried looking for a fix on the BFBC2 forums, but the only complaints of connection issues seem to be from temporary server outages.

Anyone else getting the " failed to connect to ea online please try again later " message?

so theres 5 or so people complaining about not joining servers in here

wonder how many other people there are who are happy with the game who have no problems joining games?

for the record, im one of those people :p

single player was unreal, loved it, gone through twice, once on med to see it all quickly and just finished it all on hard to get the unlocks etc (which dont do anything in multi, but hey, it was fun)

multiplayer has been pretty good too - ill admit it can get a bit laggy sometimes, but thats usually a server/connection issue - bout my only complaint is the load times, but i am playing on high quality with probably a not good enough pc, not to mention bf games have always taken a while to load. as for people taking too many hits...did you people ever play any bf games? im pretty sure this one is aimed at the same people who've paid for the previous 6 editions of the game...not sure why they'd change that now

All in all, much much better game on release than bf42/bf2 were

The load times are really fast for me, which is surprising for a Battlefield game. My biggest problem is just that s***ty server browser. All I want to do is quickly join an Aussie server. I don't want to sort through 300 other servers in on particular order. It's made especially hard since I can't see the f***ing pings for any of them.

Actually I think that's just one of the many, many jaggy edges I see in that screenshot!!!

For the record, to improve your ability to see more than 10 meters:

I dumped all my settings to medium through the .ini file
then put
bloom=false

And made that bitch read only.
It's the only way you can have Anti-Aliasing without bloom and without being in DX9 mode.
(every other combination I had tried it would just turn bloom back on if using AA).
Visibility improves a metric tonne and you keep your Anti-Aliasing.

The only problem is, frame rates improve so much that even with V-Sync there is some occasional minor tearing.

That's when smoke is your friend.

My summary of game modes.

Squad Deathmatch - slow and boring sniper campfest
Conquest - You know the drill, recipe hasn't changed.
Squad Rush - Good fast paced gameplay - quickest to climb through ranks.
Rush - Some maps play better on 20 man servers, seem to be spending most of my time in this gamemode.

I have only had a couple of crashes in around 16 hours gameplay.

You're saying "it only crashed twice" or "only a couple of crashes" like it's acceptable if it only crashes a few times each night.

The game is great fun, but it's a clusterf***. It's unstable and it's a bastard to find matches. It needs to be patched desperately.

it's what I expected with a new battlefield game and the gameplay has over shadowed all the problems I'm finding with the game. I'm just glad they've created a bloody fantastic game that has exceeded my expectations.

toats a user problem marty

That's what I thought too and was baffled as to why it was happening but then I read this:

Punkbuster Failed to INIT error

If you see this error and you know who the server admins are then ask them to restart their server. The message is caused by an error on the server side with PB and a restart will clear up the problem.

If you do not know the admin of the server then please find another server to play on.

We are working with Evenbalance to find the cause of this INIT failure and will hopefully get a solution soon.

Also other updates:

The Battlefield Blog has a follow-up on the promised server fixes for Battlefield: Bad Company 2, which are now in place, saying: "After optimizations and restarts yesterday, we had been stable across all platforms," until they had an outage across all three platforms. Things are up and running again, and they describe their efforts at tracking down what happened like this: "All teams are actively engaged in diagnosis and remediation. We are adding additional services to alleviate load. Despite having a major infrastructure in place, the peak traffic this weekend has been huge, 400% higher than any other Battlefield's peak simultaneous users. The teams will continue to monitor the services closely. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and will provide further updates on the latest developments as they are relevant."

sigh.. nearly a full week and I haven't been able to play multiplayer

I can log in to my soldier and stats and everything, and I can see people on my friends lists in servers, but whenever I try to connect "Failed to connect to EA online. Please try again"

I've tried updating pb, forwarding ports, logging is as other players, updating drivers, updating router firmware.. pretty much everything I can think of.

Still no go :(

basically,its just f***ing painful that Valve seem to be the only people capable of a decent server browser.

Last night i started trying to get on servers at 9:50. Around 10:25 I connected to my first server. Two minutes later i white-screened and had to kill BFBC2 and was back at the server browser. About 10:40 I got on to a server, to be joined by pARODY shortly after. About 15 minutes later i crashed again but managed to get straight back in to the same server and played through till i crashed at 11:50

So... 3 crashes, about 50 minutes of trying to connect to servers and about 70 minutes of gaming

but those 70 minutes were f***ing sweet!

Well for my 2 cents i have to say that so far i haven't had one crash, tear or artifact in game and apart from the obviously broken and in dire need of patching server browser, the game is awesome. I was thinking back to when BF2 first arrived and if i can remember rightly, they had the same sort of dramas with their browser as well. Still you think they would have learned by now hey?

Just a thing to try that may help... If you let the server browser search it takes ages and when i finally brings up servers, nearly all the local ones in my case have - for the ping... lame... but what i've been doing is let the browser start it's search and about 20 - 30 seconds in cancel it. Wait for a few seconds and usually out of no where a partial list shows up. Funny thing is tho, it has a s***e load more low ping local servers on it... i managed to add about 10 of em to my favourites and now i just use that or my friends list to find games... Hard to find an empty slot mind you, but even servers with 2 - 3 people will be maxxed by the time you've capped the first point so i never worry about joining empty's...

For mine tho, even with a busted arse browser, this game still betters MW2... trying to get a game in that is f***ing horrible... once the server browsers fixed in BC2 i doubt i'll be going back...

It's easy to do in BF2:

Delete the Dice, EA, Intro, and Legal .bik files from your EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Movies folder.

wonder if it's the same process?

Seems to be getting buggier for me every day. The server browsing is enough to make the baby jesus cry, the crappy friends setup where you have to click on them 400 times before the game actually lets you join the sever is detrimental to the health of anything within reach at the time. And I can't tell you how much I just love the added feature of having to set up my kit every-f***ing-time I join a server - which I might add is quite often as the game will kick you at least 20 times a night due to a myriad of reasons ranging from PB failed init's to EA server connection errors, or even just because it wanted to.

Other than the above, I love the game. It runs smooth (when working) and has some great elements of game play. I can see myself playing this one for a long time to come, as long as they fix some serious issues soon and I don't end up RQ'ing and setting my PC on fire....

DONT DO THAT. You need to replace them wiht 0 size files. So just open notepad and save a blank notepad thingo over them.

Has anyone been able to find a way to join a server via IP ADDRESS? There are many sites around such as THIS however you cant type them into the gamesettings.ini, instead those favorte servers in that ini use some weird GUID type thing that I cant work out.

Anyone had luck with that?

It's quite possible you were trying to join a server with reserved slots. I remember trying to join my m8's, it had 24 out of 32 people.. No matter how many times I kept trying to connect, it wouldn't let me and it wouldn't say why. I then realised I was joining a clan pub server that had 8 reserved slots.

Had a weird flickering texture error before which a mate showed us how to fix really easily.

ALT + ENTER (puts the game in windowed mode) , move the game window down a bit and hit ALT + ENTER again (returns game to fullscreen) which must force it to redraw an *viola* all flickering gone.

Why do you support a developer who had a 'beta' released that had all these issues described, especially the server browser, and not have them fixed for release?

Enjoy your broken server browser, because it probably isn't going to be fixed anytime soon.

Don't get me wrong, the game is amazing fun. If it weren't for the server f***ups, I'd recommend it 100%. The EA servers are back up now, and playing tonight was totally painless. None of the annoying little quirks it's had over the past week. Hopefully whatever they did to the servers today has solved a lot of their issues.

But yeah, it's an awesome game. The single player campaign is pretty cool too. If you're into Battlefield, I'd say you may as well just get it, it'll be stable soon enough, if it's not already.

I'm off to buy a new monitor from CA's. Over the last year I've had huge issues with my 28" Viewsonic and nvidia drivers not working properly over HDMI. And looking on google heaps of other people have been too. It would be fine if the monitor had DVI but it only supports VGA and HDMI.

So anyway, I need the latest drivers to play BC2 because the textures are breaking up and making it impossible to play. Bad thing is I have to take a 1" hit and settle for a 27" display. Good thing is it goes up to 2048 x 1152.

Wish me luck!

I'm loving this game so much. Need to get my kd ratio up cause it sucks. The team stacking when things start going bad is so infuriating that I want to punch my monitor. Working with a good squad is a lot of fun.

Press M1 and hold it and you will stay scoped, this will let you see the bullet drop and depending on the accuracy of the rifle, horizontal shearing, though there is nothing you can do for shear.

After awhile you get good at ranging and don't need a ranging shot.
As a reasonable guide, close range, zero horizontal or vertical adjustment.

Medium range - Approximately 3mm above the target for a high center mass to headshot. For a moving target, about 3mm lead for a running person, for a sprinting person about 4-5mm.

Long range - The desert map in conquest cycle (the tank one with the Factory as C, NOT atacama with the attack choppers), for example to hit a person standing on the roof of C, from the RU deployment area at the bottom of the hill (shooting through the ruins of D) you'll need nearly 7mm of vertical adjustment above the player, on the M95 or M24 this equates to about 3/4 of the first range marker on the crosshair), good luck hitting a moving target at this range, but it is possible ;)

For short to mid range and a person moving perpendicular to you on an ATV, whereby they take up half your scope as it is, you need to lead 1/2 to 3/4 of your scope on top of that in front and fire.

Have an accuracy of 36% at the moment with the m95 though it's on the rise and seeing anywhere from 40-60% accuracy on average per round these days.

Only thing that's really difficult to hit after awhile is people moving erratically with no obvious pattern if you happen to miss the first shot, or what more likely happens, you hit but don't kill (even with the m95 and magnum ammo!)

God f***ing dammit, first they drop the steam price back down the day I get a solid copy, and now they offer a deal pack. Why didn't they have this s*** prior to release? I was going to get a deal pack with some friends...

Been playing with the Assault's smoke grenades all night trying out its effectiveness. What I have found is it can be godly with a few adjustments.
The smoke clears too fast, and the size of the cloud isn't big enough. The clouds are barely bigger then a grenade splash zone.
As it is, to hold down a decent smoke screen you really need one dedicated player with an ammo box pumping an area with smoke over and over.
That said, it is a great offence and defence on rush maps around Mcoms. Few players realize what is going on if you lay down a cloud about an Mcom to set it. And if you have to decrypt, a cloud will shield you from snipers.
Also great to lull people into traps and ambushes.

Can anybody explain how on things like Atacama desert, some people seem to be able to easily see clear across the entire map?
E.G. You get in a chopper and someone goes straight to the AA gun, they seem to be able to fire at you from behind your own base (which, if I recall, is too far with the fog haze to spam SPOT and just shoot at the marker)

Sounds like hax Mephz. Some people turn gfx right down low and res to 640x480 to get more kills. Sometimes turning gfx down low can remove critical items like grass and fog. You think you're hiding in a big patch of grass, but then someone shoots you from 500m away. One issue with PC players having many different hardware setups.

There are already hax out there for BFBC2 that are quite advanced, and since most servers don't have PB enabled, I'm sure there are a fair few using them. Search youtube for FPSCHEATS and you'll see what I mean.

Its a bit hit or miss with this game...

I've got E6750 OC @ 3.0Ghz, 4GB of DDR 2 and 1GB GTX 285 and i get this wierd lag/jerk issue to the point its not even playable e.g. sits on 25 fps and doesnt go much higher even with everything on low or off.

Then i have my laptop Core2Duo 2.5Ghz, 4GB of DDR 2, ATi HD4570 and i get 45 fps and i can even put it on Medium.

Believe it or not its the only game that runs faster on my laptop even with the exact same settings.ini. PC version has issues with certain OS and hardware setups me thinks.

After spending 3-4 nights tinkering, tweaking and updating my gaming box i gave up... i got so frustrated i went out and bought it for PS3 and im lovin it on PS3. I aint gonna spend a $1,000 to upgrade my mobo, CPU to i7 and ram to DDR3 just for 1 badly designed game, screw that for a joke. Especially when i can pretty much max out every single other game.

That sounds like my experience with mw2. If I zoom out things disappear like grass, trees, boxes, etc and when I zoom in they reappear. The thing is I'm running everything on high. Weird.

They got level-of-detail (LOD) right with ArmA I reckon. When you zoom away from grass it changes from being a post-processed effect into being a billboard texture (even slightly bigger sometimes!). That means that you are guaranteed 100% concealment. The grass just isn't as pretty from a distance (function weighted above form ftw).

@ET: you could download FRAPS to do it.

Also, still need one more Steam person to go in on this 3 for 4 pack. PM me.

Well thats a depressing video, I don't understand the mind of someone who would use a hack like that. If you're so s*** at the game you need to use a hack to do any good, go and find a different f***ing game to play.

Do the Gamearena servers and the internode servers (does internode even have servers for it?) use punkbuster? And does punkbuster find this thing?

Punk buster might be s*** but VAC is worse from what I hear. Someone said hackers get banned 7 days after they get detected or something and with all the stolen/hijacked accounts getting rid of them is pretty impossible. That's just what I've read on forums and heard on the grape vine though, none of that info comes right from valve so it's probably false.

So what's bad company like if you don't have any friends to play it with? Do you just join a server full of randoms or what?

How do you put in specific server IP's to join though? I'm still stuck playing on the single 3FL server that the browser picks up.

Love the game, level 8 medic, havent played anything else yet.

PLUS :
-Squads that work together make this game, love having a balanced squad.
-Sound and visuals are yumm, standing next to a tank when it fires is wicked. Scares the s*** out of my kids when the subwoofer goes off (Yes its true, I dont give a f*** if the tank shots are louder than re-runs of Thomas the tank engine).
-Vechile variety is great

MINUS :
-No server side auto balance, "soandso switches sides" 18 on 5, or all level 30+ one side all 1-10 other side.
-Too many f***ing snipers..trying to dins someone to actually attack a camp with 14 snipers out of 16 players is dongs.
-Adding friends to your Friends list seems really crappy.
-Server browser is better than it was, but still feels a chore.

And aim at a objective to give attack orders.
Also it is hard to tell what a class is unless they are in your squad. You kinda have to look at their gear and take a guess.
and they need to add the class symbol to the respawn menu for your squad mates. Can't tell what they are.

Its okay Pinky, I am astounded at how much of a nub I feel at this game, it is enjoyable but everyone seems to have much bigger guns than me. I seem to do better on the smaller maps where I can get up close with the shotgun, seems to even the playing field a little. The worst thing is I can't even fire up a lan server for a bit of bot practice.

I changed my clan's server to 10v10 Rush with FF turned on the other day. We have been playing that and its outstanding, since the Rush maps are a bit smaller than normal I just find 16v16 too crowded, no sooner do you spawn you get camped with the M60 or splashed with either spam or Gustav. At least with 10v10 it opens it up a bit and gives you time to scratch your arse before getting pwned.

Having FF turned on is nice too, at least you don't get phaggots spamming their toes, or their squad mates in knife fight to steal a kill.

Join us if you want, just put [cv] into the browser filter and it is the only server that comes up.
