I don't mind tats, so long as they aren't just "look, me too!" butterflies/dolphins/hearts/etc, but cigarettes are an instant turn off. The smell is revolting.

Huge in your face tats are a turn off, most Tramp stamps too. Some tats look cool/dont bother me though.

Smoking is a -5 (From 10) so even if she's a perfect 10 in everything else (Looks/personality/everything) she only barely passes. I haven't met a perfect 10 yet.

Yeah not a fan of tats. They look good from day 1 to about day 600 then they are f***ed.

Rachael was the best by a long shot.

Don't mind belly rings but some piercings are out. Mrs Pinky had the back of her neck done which I wasn't a fan of. It's out now though. A few weeks ago she had a surface piercing done on her wrist too. Not a fan of that either. Her body though, she can do whatev she wants.

Smoking is a deal-breaker. Scooter nailed it. If Jennifer Hawkins came up to me with a fag in her hand and asked me if she could buy me a drink I'd take the drink and run.

WTF is going on in here? You're all acting as if every woman you meet is a potential wife. Bachelor the f*** up! If a chick has a tattoo who cares what it will look like 20 years from now? It's hot as f*** right now when the ink is still fresh and the lady still has breasts unaffected by gravity.

Here's how you rate women out of 10, +5 for each breast. So if they have two tits, then they are a 10.

Seriously though, if you are rating hypotheticals based on the potential of a long term relationship, something as superficial as a smoking habit or a tattoo seems a little trivial. Looking at women on the Zoo website and deciding you couldn't have a long term relationship with one of them because they have tattoos or a potential smoking habit is pretty delusional.

Smoking is an anachronism - it just doesn't belong in our world today. It looks wrong. Nobody I know smokes aside from a few baby boomer leftovers who just can't let go, and f***en deads***s.

Our resident stoners inform me that even the bong brigade are getting off the spin and getting inhalers or some s***. If drug-f***s don't like ciggies what the f*** is anyone else doing on them?!

Tatts are fine, like anything though their use can be f***ed up on a case by case basis.

What about all those remote tribes who smoke peace pipes & get high off coffee beans or whatever that weird s*** is they smoke the leaves of?

I find it amazing how many stoners defend their habbit saying how it isn't wrong and how healthy it is but call people who smoke normal ciggies dirty filthy smokers. More proof weed makes you f***ing stupid.

Not really. I've seen first hand what smoking can do (my dad has emphysema) and would never date ANYONE who smokes. Tattoos would be taken on a case by case basis though, arm/wrist/ankle = maybe, main body = maybe since it'd usually be covered up anyway, face = f*** off, you didn't fall asleep on the chair.

Depending how it's consumed. Also, there have been a great deal many pointers to say that pot smoking can bring on mental illness that someone may have never had or would have had it much later in their life if they were genetically pre-disposed to it.

If you are already pre-disposed, yes, they believe there is a link.

They also made the exact same link with alcohol and just about every other recreational drug... you don't need to be a scientist to realise that if you have underlying mental illness, substance abuse could bring it out. There's a s***load of other non-drug triggers also.

It's not a cannabis specific problem.

If you are comparing casual use then no there isnt.
If you want to compare someone who smokes 20 cones a day then they are going to have serious health problems
Just like someone who has 20 standard drinks per day every day.

This is something non-drug users can not seem to come to terms with and therefore, fall for, the governments mantra that all drug users do drugs all day, everyday, forever and turn into Mr Hyde.

That pic will get censored for the nipples, so I'll run down the list of what you need to know:

Butch face, slightly Asian/Euro
Painted on eye brows
Piercings in her cheeks
Pretty big breasts, but most likely flabby due to size + flatness
Belly button ring
Wide stomach area
Arms and legs thin while rest of body is chubby
Some random dark writing on right arm
Some random bright green writing on her left
Picture of two birds and a heart on stomach
Chain bikini

... you can have her.
Hah, well said.

The eyebrows are f***ed, stop doing this stupid s*** women... along with those loose dresses that make you look pregnant and big retarded bug eye sunglasses.

greazy - a good example of why smoking is a social anachronism is the excellent series Mad Men. Smoking is definitely awkward in today's society and is clearly a throwback to a time when it was broadly accepted, much like if I showed up at a party in a hypercolour T-shirt and happy pants.

Not that I ever wore happy pants..

Just because its a choice doesn't mean that it isn't a choice that is socially appropriate in today's Australia.

i'm not saying it's an excuse to smoke or anything, i just don't think you're right in generalizing like that. it just feels like just a recycle of the garbage thats forced down everyones throats from the govnt / anti-smoking campaigns.

Ha, if you showed up at any of my parties with a hypercolour t-shirt and happy pants you'd be the life of the party.

People are rejecting smoking because it's a serious health risk. They have sequenced all lung cancers related to smoking - it's not like global warming - there is not debate on the risks of smoking. You want an operation, some surgeons will refuse if you smoke.

Unfortunately, yeah, smoking is very social. Everyone in this business park who smokes has a chat with people from all other offices. It's a great way to meet people which is probably how it became so popular in the first place.

Still, you look like a loser. So it's a catch-22 these days ;-)

Hmm well, when I go out, the smokers all have to go and sit outside in a designated area? I haven't been out in Brissy or Sydney in AGES - do they still commonly have restaurants, clubs or clubs where smoking inside is allowed?

I guess I agree that smoking is probably a good way to meet and socialise with other smokers..

I admit though that I don't go out as much as I used to, I'm getting old and my illness means that public pissups just become infuriating - when I get a bit happy people think I'm wasted.

I'm basing my opinion (and remember, an opinion is all it is!) on 'socially acceptable' to the people and households I frequent, where very few people smoke and they are banished outside when they do - even if its their own home.

I guess I just don't see how a habit that partaking implies exiting a social event or workplace can be seen as socially acceptable? I'm not implying that people (ie the majority of non-smokers) shun or hate on smokers, they just don't to be nearby while they smoke..

Exactly.

Designated outdoor smoking areas, no smoking inside.

Not a good way to meet non-smokers, at all.

Smokers definitly do meet and talk to more people. You can't argue that they don't, that is just futile. And it is a trap for the smokers that they associate their smoking with being friendly and socialising that to quit would be like losing friends.

No that's what I'm saying, it's not about arguing, it's about observing, and I observe that smokers meet and talk to more people. You put a bunch of people in a room with 100 people, nobody meets anybody, they just stick to who they know. But then you grab a few random people and stick them outside with a cigarette and they'll get chatting. Happens everywhere several times a day, work, school, etc... Everyone sits there busily staring at their computers not saying a word, meanwhile the smokers are outside laughing and yapping away.

in melbourne you can just about smoke anywhere and everywhere and i dare say way more people in melbourne smoke than in brisbane.

Totally disagree with this. The way you are describing Brisbane sounds the same as down here.

The way you are describing Melbourne sounds more like Rome to me.

can't smoke inside in any public place- isn't that a federal law?

i don't know pinky, maybe it's the age difference. the places i go smoking isn't necessarily a bad thing. just happens. those who smoke, smoke. those who don't, don't. i see it simply as that, why waste energy judging people for smoking.

this is for all you guys who think smoking is bad hahaha.

A baker having an early-morning cigarette in Melbourne's west early today allegedly foiled a safe-cracker when he heard a ‘‘drilling sound’’, police say.

Seems to me that this thread became more about evolution and strengthening the race by selectively breeding out those with a predisposition to addiction.

Way to kill a thread, konstie.

I just hate the dirty f***ers that smoke while walking through the city.

The moment I get off at central and make my way down to Queen st, there's always some skank in front of me puffing away... then you overtake them and suddenly a new one pops up in front of you.

Gross :S

kissing a chick who smokes, particularly when they just had a smoke, absolute f***ing disgusting lol :/

As we all know smokers have to smoke in designated areas (outside somewhere), well did you know this, say you're in a pub for example and all your mates are sitting outside in the smoking area, well it's illegal to bring food into the designated smoking area!!

Just pretend you're going down on her just after/before her "special monthly time" probably tastes about the same.

Which brings me to Rule #3: Never go down on a girl who's been dancing all night.

On that, I can't stand kissing girls that have been drinking vodka. It's like sticking your tongue into a potato.

People smoking doesn't both me, especially when it's outside, it's perfect for it. What annoys me is when people are A) walking in-front of you and blow smoke over their shoulder and it hits you in the face or B) are sitting near/on a path and blow it inadvertently into your face. f*** OFF YOU DIRTY f***.

Sorry Spook, I should correct that rule because it should have a sub-clause about how much you've been drinking yourself. If you are duly intoxicated you can go for it.

So I take it those chicks who smoke cigarettes with their vadge as a party trick would be a turn off?

Sounds like you have a lot of rules. Take it where you can get it bandito. One day you'll regret all that sweaty action you missed out on cos you were too busy ticking your boxes instead of licking em.

this'll please some of you when it's forced around the country : : :

Frankston City Council is preparing to impose blanket bans along three busy open-air shopping strips, including opposite the train station.

Lighting up in the designated exclusion zones during the planned six-month trial could cost defiant smokers fines up to $110.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/smoking-outdoors-to-be-outlawed-on-three-busy-frankston-streets/story-e6frf7jo-1225828040127

and according to the online pole on the heraldsun-

Should smoking be banned in all public places?
Yes 52.66% (2821 votes)
No 47.34% (2536 votes)
Total votes: 5357

but i wouldn't count that vote for s***...

look I hate smoking as much as the next person but trying to tell people what they can and can't do in their home is taking it too far
rather than banning smoking, you'd have to ban the sale of cigarettes/tabacco - which I'm still not OK with because if people chose to indulge in their guilty pleasures then that is their problem right up until it imposes upon someone elses rights (like being able to eat a meal without inhaling filthy cigarette smoke)

don't even get me started on banning "drugs" like marijuana when cigarettes and alcohol are not only legal but widely socially accepted
when prohibition came in everyone went f*** that, stupid law and ignored it
then it was over turned, just because less people did that about marijuana doesn't make it any more of a stupid law - the research has proven time and time again that the initial fears of pot were completely incorrect

That pic will get censored for the nipples, so I'll run down the list of what you need to know:

Butch face, slightly Asian/Euro
Painted on eye brows
Piercings in her cheeks
Pretty big breasts, but most likely flabby due to size + flatness
Belly button ring
Wide stomach area
Arms and legs thin while rest of body is chubby
Some random dark writing on right arm
Some random bright green writing on her left
Picture of two birds and a heart on stomach
Chain bikini

... you can have her.

My vote goes to Emily Scott.last edited by Zy at 01:23:20 08/Feb/10
