While you were all unwrapping presents, drinking sherry and standing under mistletoe, we were still working (well, playing) diligently to get our Darksiders review ready for before the New Year, and today we finally have it up for you.

AusGamers was one of only two other Aussie outlets given the go-ahead to get our reviews out there early, and we put a lot of time and effort into both this review and the game itself. It's a title we've talked about a lot over the last year, and one we're happy to finally share our verdict with you with.

So without further adieu, click here for the AusGamers Darksiders run-down.

And have a safe and awesome New Years!

I got to preview a bit of it a few months ago with Paul, have also played about 8 hours of it very recently. Seriously looked up at the clock and it was 4 in the morning!! Then got up at 9 and jumped straight back into it, i know what you mean about it being fun!

I'll be picking this one up, but haven't seen any ps3 / 360 comparisons yet. Have to wait to see if there's a superior platform on it before I purchase.

Wish there was a PC port :/. I think this is the first game that I really want to play on the PS3/360.

started playing it yesterday arvo, so hard to put down, only downfall is how easy the combat is in normal game play then as soon as a boss battle comes along you seem to get snapped until you work out a formula to kick ass.

I recommend only playing on Apocalyptic - very rewarding challenge

Whilst id love a good challenge, i don't get much time to play games these days.. so when i do i want it to be easy enough to complete in a day or 2.. aka a weekend...

im going to have to rethink hard mode after playing batman ark.

you fought too many thugs at the same time, forcing you to run around like a clown picking them off one at a time or waiting for the titans to kill them. i would have preferred a say 3x5 thugs instead of 10 thugs at the same time.

Have to decide between this & Bayonetta.. Stupidity of having 2 awesome games released on the same day!

Not me, that's for sure. Although I did score a free War avatar costume from the EB comp!

Just posting to say I've been playing the s*** out of Darksiders the past few days, and it's f***ing awesome. Best action/adventure game I've played in a long time. And the voice acting is top-notch.
