Looking at getting a new pair because my old AKG wireless no longer work.

Looking at sennheiser this time, but stuck on what model too look at. Don't need top of line, something that's good for gaming and music.

Not really wanting to spend anymore than say $120ish...

headphones.com.au writes off the HD280's for being uncomfortable.

I still love my phillip's hp890's, there are not the best sounding headphone on the planet but they are comfortable and cheap too I think I paid about $70 from retra-vision I think

Get headphones with standard jacks, not usb. I used to have headphones with USB, switching to speakers and back would always screw up a programs audio. Dunno if Windows 7 or Vista fix this, since I now have headphones with jacks.
Currently using the creative fatality headset. Very nice.

Plus, sound card audio > usb audio

Still looking but narrowed it down to beyerdynamics dtx 900 and audio technica ath ad700. Leaning bit more towards to audio technica due to it's soundstage in games and good sound with rock music. Hoping to purchase by tomorrow on headphones site or by from shop around the corner from me.

To be honest it isn't that great at producing thumping bass. Its nice and clear however.

My akg were wireless and sound wasn't that bad(from what I can remember). More annoying part is havin to recharge/change batteries when pair in use die...

Thumping bass doesn't bother me, due to mainly listening to rock/metal.
