Hate to say it but I remember all of it. My kids on the otherhand would consider all those to be ancient and around the time of Christ.

I still use my 15 yr old Sony VCR a few times a week to tape doco's and s*** on Aunty and SBS. I would buy a new DVDHD recorder but the old bugger just won't die.
I've noticed that all my older Sony and Pioneer stuff is still going no doubt because it was actually manufactured in Japan not Malayasia like most of their stuff nowerdays.

I dont really understand why this is relevant or important... Would people born in the 80s know how to use old technology they had never encountered and was made obsolete years before their birth?

I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! MY OWN GRANDSON! I HAD TO EXPLAIN TO HIM HOW TO CRANK START MY CAR! HE WAS ABOUT TO START CRANKING AND THE CAR WASN'T EVEN IN NEUTRAL!#!#!

I remember most of it except the internet related stuff, we didn't have a computer until about the 33.6k/windows95 era.

The guy is miffed about the lack of a 'shuffle' feature, and didn't realise the tape had two sides.

I remember when I got my first CD, I didn't know which side to put facing up since I was used to cassette tapes & vinyl being able to be put in either way around.

I remember about 99% of that as well

It was good to grow up thru the 70's and 80's. There was so much cool stuff back then.

I remember almost everything, except 8-tracks or betamax references.

What about "pixels"? We've all played old school games where you could actually see the individual ones, these days...

I remember all of them, and even used most of them. Except for betamax and 8 track, never use those on day to day but have seen them etc. God I'm old..., not Mantra old though thank f***.

I remember and used all of them I think? At 33 I only just owned an 8-track - they were massively old eeven when we were kids. I got one as a hand-me-down present from someone.

Good list, I too remember most of them.

I just went through it with my 12yo son and he was like.... what?

I even showed him DOS and how to operate a computer pre windows days. I even remembered some of the commands and managed to start E-Tax in DOS, changing directories and all, I'm such a haXXor.

When I was a kid I used to worry a lot about my kids not being able to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I carefully taped them all to preserve that piece of history, but one day my dad threw out all my tapes. Everything I had, ninja turtles, jim carrey, all my favourite childhood movies. What a c***.
