Video looks pretty good and I like the art design and the obvious time spent creating a very unique look.
But the noob I am i have no idea what tron is about and have never heard of it so if you could fill me in that would be great. |

Tron was a movie made in the 80's, had really cutting edge CGI for the time, and it was about a programmer (played by Jeff Bridges) who gets sucked inside a video game world. Its probably pretty camp if you watch it now for the first time, but it was a pretty cool movie when I saw it as a kid, and I bought the 25th anniversary DVD that came out a few years ago for nostalgia's sake :P
But yeah, all those games where you play a worm/bike/whatever that leaves a trail behind it, and you have to avoid smashing into your own tail or the tails of the other players or you die, Tron started it with its light cycles. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084827/ IMDB link if you want more info, but yeah, pick it up and watch it, just imagine you're back in the 80's and its cutting edge :P The dvd has some pretty cool extras where they talk about how much work went into creating the CGI, how they basically had to program, in text form, the position of each vertex of each model and where it would be in each frame, no fancy tools to do it for them. |

Tron is still awesome even for today's standards. If you watch it now you can see where The Matrix creators copied a lot of their ideas from.

I got out the original a couple of years ago, and I was so relieved that it was still a kick-arse movie.

I heard a rumor that Daft Punk are doing the Soundtrack. That would be awesome and appropriate. The Interstellar 555 film/album was awesome. |
