This isn’t so much poking the hornet’s nest with a stick, Charlie, as it is smashing a pinada full of radioactive africanized bees with a chainsaw. http://www.wired.com/gadgetlab/2009/07/five-reasons-you-can-ditch-your-dslr-for-an-iphone/ heh |

That article doesn't make sense.
First it states about SLRs: "sometimes you don’t want to carry that bulky box around with you". So their solution is to stick a big arse lens on the iphone, then buy a magical tripod that attaches via suction cup. Meanwhile they still suggest a benefit is that the iphone fits in your pocket... WTF!? And the rest is just inbuilt photo processing software which most photographers don't use anyway. They really just try to squeeze out a 'top 5' list whether it makes sense or not. |

^^ Makes it look more like Apple is some sort of a cult. The cult leader warps your sense of reality to make you believe everything he tells you & follow his will. It's what they're doing too, more & more people are turning to Apple stuff and before you know it we'll all be a bunch of drooling ipod listening ibook surfing iphone talking retards with no will of our own.
I swear it's true too because I've always hated mac's but now I love iTunes and have an ipod and the other day I caught myself checking out the price of macbooks! o_0 BRAINWASHED I TELLS YA. Enter the Factron Quattro (above), an iPhone case that lets you swap lenses onto your iPhone. It also looks gorgeous, like a 1980s Halina 110 camera. Looks more like a dalek to me. EXTERMINATE EXTERMINATE. |

Yes.
Canon EOS40D, 70-200 f/2.8 USM. No flash on any of those shots. I think the secondlast one was taken on a 450D w/18-55 f/3.5-5.6 IS. |

Raven, I think the best part of those shots is it really shows megapixels isnt everything (or even that important) http://files.getdropbox.com/u/97682/HeraldSunTour/hires/_MG_5681.jpg is less than 1 megapixel, but is clearly superior to the 2MP iphone. |

So this article is meant to be a joke, yeah? No one can be that stupid ...
Photographers have a mantra: “It’s all about the glass.” Completely misapplied and taken to the extreme. Obviously the author isn't a photographer ... Zoom is a $1 app that does one thing: It gives the iPhone camera a digital zoom Wow, inspiring technology. There are also a few “filters” that will turn an image black and white, for instance. I'm blown away. I should get rid of my DSLR straight away. Dumbest article I've read in a long, long time. Call me when your iPhone can take shots like this Hehe http://photos.smugmug.com/photos/454693942_NB7mb-O.jpg http://homepage.powerup.com.au/~boldajis/images/iphone_450d.jpg |

Raven, I think the best part of those shots is it really shows megapixels isnt everything (or even that important) You should see the 10mpx version :) Hubble owns your s*** raven. I'm not sure how those shots would turn out at 30 second exposure. I'm also not sure I could cart an f/65 11 ton lens up that hill at Illinbah :) |

Raven, I think the best part of those shots is it really shows megapixels isnt everything (or even that important) To view afterwards yes. You wouldn't want to take a compressed jpeg shot of something like that at less then 1MP though and still have room to play with it in photoshop etc and publish. |
