We've had the official launch trailer for this for a while (which can be viewed here), but Sega today sent through official word we'd be seeing a winterised Mario and Sonic Olympics outing this October 15 ahead of the Winter Olympic Games being held in Vancouver in 2010.

You can pretty much expect a very similar affair to the successful Mario and Sonic at the Olympics; featuring Mario and Sonic and their respective gangs facing off against each other in a series of mini-games centred around Winter Olympic events - I'm just hoping any snowboard half-pipe events are handled with a bit of extra love.
