Agree. Here are my speculations:

The geeks clothing is from a TV wardrobe. How many geeks to you know who wear brand new, clean clothes? Geeks are (rightfully) happy to wear 10 year old clothes that are faded, worn, and usually have holes in them.

The geeks' hair has been styled to make them look geekier. They all had very clean and well groomed hair, but in geek styles. As if. Geeks rarely use product, and if they do, they wouldn't exaggerate the "geekiness" of the hairstyle.

Glasses... really? Sure, a lot of people wear glasses, but my guess would be that if any of the geeks normally wear contacts, they would have been asked to wear glasses.

Having said that, everything about the physicist guy seems to be very genuine, except for his clean hair.

Also, with regard to spook's statement again, maybe I mis-heard, but wasn't the chick's dialogue leading into the spa scene, "We were all inside and it was getting really hot, so we decided to have a spa..." or something similar? More like, "The producers picked the girls based on how hot they were in a bikini, and they wanted to show this in the first episode, so we all got in the spa."

whilst in some cases a few couples hook up.. most of the time its about the couples learning from each other and becoming better people.

I don't think most males have a problem with this. I will be watching for the tits and I expect pretty much most of the audience will be also. Girls like to watch and comment on everything even though they claim they don't like the show.
