Just recently there was a big Street Fighter 4 Comp in San Fran for the USA Qualifier to the Evo2K tournament, & also was an invitational tournament to the best players from Japan, details etc can be found here

Anyway here's the Highest Ranked Japanese player Vs Daigo Umehara, may not be entertaining to people who don't play SFIV, but the speed that it takes to do some of their combos / attacks is phenomenal. (5th round for example)

Hehe yea Martz I have seen some GameChariot ones also, I agree there are probably more entertaining fights to be found, but this was the big awaited match apparently. Plus it still amazes me the amount of spectators it brings to the events.

If you search for "Arcadia Magazine" they apparently got all the best character players in Japan (i.e. best C.Viper Player, Best Zangief player etc) to match up against Diago. It's all in Japanese though but you get the idea.

Feel free to imbed any other awesome matches you've found also :)

In the first video i love ryu's uppercut to dhalism's long stretchy punch then cancelling it into a super to win the round. They make that s*** look easy but it's far from it.

That MvC2 comeback is the best ever.

Especially considering cyclops is a weak main character and is pretty used just for assists.

3 vs 1, practically impossible to win because one player can call assists non-stop vs cyclop (weakest 3rd character choosen).

It's a bunch of high speed exploits and glitches that make up the MvC2 system, you can see them doing all types of triangular jumping into launches, air cancelling into supers etc.

Good game, but because of the way it's turned out, only like 6 - 10 characters out of the 50 are played.

After watching the SF4 vids its no real surprise that dhalsim was in both of them. such a cheap character IMO. why need any real skill when you can just f*** around on the other side of the screen and attack with your strechy limbs. I've never liked him even back in SF2.

EDIT - Oh and I found this while watching that Arcadia Mag video. Daigo loses to sagat, which is rather fitting no?

Round 2 was awesome. 2... idk what you call them but he charges right though daigo's attacks. Then later on the 2 high kicks which juggle him into the ultra combo. Not to mention the combo at the start of round 3. Quite a great fight indeed.

Don't forget Dhalsim doesn't come without his weaknesses. He's slow. His combos are limited. His stretchy arms and legs can be countered with projectiles, uppercuts, etc.. His projectiles aren't really that great. He's really not that easy to use either but if you can master him he can be hard to beat.

If anything i've been reading that Sagat is over powered and cheap, especially with his ultra juggle: uppercate cancel into focus attack cancel into high round his kick into the ultra combo.

Re OP vid.

I don't understand how in a championship match people can stuff up fireballs (and other specials). At that level, that s*** should be as second nature as breathing.

I just watched DM's video, man that was brilliant.

I'd be interested to find out what they said at the end.

Found after some youtubing, this since this damn thread has made me want to buy SF4 and get into fighting games some. The come back at the very end with viper is just so cool. The way she counters blanka's attack is just unexpected to say the least.

Kryo (c.viper) is a pretty good viper player I must say. I've seen a few videos with him and when he gets a combo started its pretty damn flashy.

SF4 is pretty fun but if you are just casual gamers playing against eachother, its really easy to get into tiger knee spam matches that are decided by who lands their super or ultra cause they are all so easy to do.

Im sure you get past that with skill but in that little intermediate where you dont get better unless you actively try its a bit lame.

That viper video seems a bit weird. They start out and smash the blanka then they sit around f***ing about for the next round and a half then all of a sudden they switch back on... seems like a setup.

fugg the PC version.

Hardware incompatibilities, small screen compared to TV, s***ty controls, small online community (if any) compared to ps and xbox and comes out 6 months later.

Why would you bother?

(provided that you already own an xbox/ps)

(i guess i just answered my own question)

Though if you had one of those gaming keyboards where you can bind a crap load of buttons to execute recorded keystrokes, you could have alot of shortcuts to bs hard combos :)
