I've got a HP pavilion dv8000 laptop and the screen on it is f***ed. When its moved anywhere it just constantly rolls and is pretty much unusable. Anyone got any ideas on how to get a screen replacement? We rang HP And they gave us the number to a store at morningside and they gave a quote of around $600.

So can anyone help us out on where to get a possible replacement or if it's even worth doing.

If its gonna cost 600 bucks then it is probably not worth it unless its a highish-end laptop.

You'd be better off plugging a monitor into it and using it as a desktop imo.

yeah get the targus USB docking station and connect a screen and other peripherals if it's not mobile much.
otherwise check out auctions for something compatible or maybe even ebay?
