I was wondering if Ausgamers intended previewing ArmA2 by Bohemia Interactive Studios as its close to release ?

Ive been with the series off and on since the developers, Bohemia, first released "Operation Flashpoint" through thier distributor Codemasters who are now releasing OFP2 as they own the name.

OFP/ArmA wouldnt be everyones cup of tea or even most popular as it appeals, i think, to players who are drawn to FPS's that are closer to a sim. That can mean some boredom to some but ive noticed more and more are drawn to it after theyve had enough of the bunny stuff and want a game that is challenging in several areas.

If Ausgamers does preview this game can i suggest someone who's aware of VBS1 and VBS2 and loves flying a mission in a MP loaded chopper with sticks and pedals.

Please be warned ... games of this magnitude and complexity dont get released on time and with great fanfare with little probs like a ten button console game. ArmA 1 took a while to sort the bugs and thats the norm just like with the legend Falcon4 and others but ive heard a rumour from a good source that ArmA2 will release in better shape. If a game like this were to be released bug free then you would never ever get proper pc games or sims due to costs.

Ok ta ..... vroom vroom MW cane it

I'm always hanging out for the next OFP/ArmA. My favourite game by far.

Well its one of the few remaining kick ass large scale PC FPS's and the series has a big following here in Australia.

Probably my most anticipated game alongside Mafia 2, and unlike Operation Flashpoint 2 it still seems on the hardcore sim side of things.

Yeah ArmA's replayability is still unbeaten. Can't wait for ArmA 2 yeah!

lol, when I heard arma was OFP2 I bought 2 copies after it came out installed it but never played it.

Used to play CTI? (Capture The Island) which was a mod for OFP. Anyone else play this? I was hoping it would come out for ARMA but never played or checked.

This thread made me remember when I would stay up all night playing with my mates so I installed it only to have those wonderful memories be replaced by ones of how terrible the game play was. I'm no game critic but it wasn't one of the best games around. I find it hard to believe that I have 300hrs (according to Xfire so probably more) of play time and I couldn't remember anything I disliked about it. Lets hope ArmA 2 is a bit better.
