Ok so when I try to join any Internode server thats currently hosting badwater I get instantly kicked and banned in the first ~20 seconds.

I've looked around but can't find any place that hosts the map. I've checked the integrity of the TF2 files but nothing seems wrong. Anyone have any idea why?

Internode forums aren't much help.

Does it only happen on internode badwater and do the bans reset after a timelimit? Like are you perm banned from one server?

You probably have tried this but:
- Reset Config
- You have any custom skins or s***? Delete.
- Get the tf2 gcf files off someone else and fresh install tf2 (delete directory)

Maybe even try just deleting the team fortress 2 folder (not the gcf files).

Not much help... seems fairly random that it only happens on a particular map/server.

my housemate installed scripts for DoD that randomly unbound S for me all the time when I was playing tf2 :(

You could have been banned by some automatic process, you could write politely to Internode and they will unban you.

It's a temp ban.
It only ever happens on internode badwater servers.
I haven't installed any scripts.

Gonna try to delete the config files and if that doesnt work, clean install of TF2.

I got the same thing ages ago. Fixed it by disabling my spyware program.

I think if you delete the cfg file it would do it. Not sure if the settings go to default or they save anyway.

I reckon you should just try deleting the team fortress 2 folder.

Ok thanks ctd. I'm leaving fresh install as a last resort because I dont want to redownload ~2gig+.

Deleting the TF2 will not mean you will have to redownload it Bats***, the main files are stored in gcf's which are in another folder. So detele the Team Fortress 2 folder and you will be fine.

You wont have to redownload. Just reinstall. The gcf files have all the content, the tf2 folder is like 300megs or something.

Well it turns out it was actually a perma ban. The reason was because of a racist comment (the "N" word as the admin i was talking to puts it) that I said on one of their servers. If I remember correctly I said something along the lines of "sup n*****s" as I joined a server.

Lession of the story? If you're going to use a racist term, use a mic.

ah yes i forgot node servers have auto ban filters. typing porn sites for example you gets you banned aswell ( at least on css ) and im assuming tf2 aswell.

Some guy is like "where do I download cheats from?" I said "tubgirl.com"

Banned. I emailed them and explained and they are like "We still think you deserve a ban". I ended up getting banned for like 2-3months. They are tight c***s so I would start adding the GA servers to the favourites list :P

haha its great to hear im not the only one. I just got an email from the admin. The bans being reduced to 1 month.

haha I got banned from internode for saying 2girls1cup after a guy asked "what's that video with the two girls and the cup?" or something to that effect. So I emailed them blaming it all on him and told them I don't go around saying "2girls1cup" etc... and I got unbanned.

it kicks/bans you from the server. But then it takes a while to rollout on all servers.
