Going to be in the market for a new couch soon. Probably just wanting one of those 2x recliners & 2-seater sofa package things. Just wanting something that's super comfortable and supportive.
Just wondering where everyone goes when they wanna buy furniture? We bought our last couch from Super Amart, and were fairly underwhelmed with the quality of the product. But then having a quick browse through Nick Scali and the likes, there just seems to be some super overpriced furniture stores around there. Anyone got any recommendations for a good store to buy a couch from? Budget is probably about $1600-ish, but willing to stretch that by a few hundred if it's worthwhile. Thanks. |

Big scandal about Nick Scali last year anyway. I buy simple stuff from super amart, like my desks and basic entertainment unit for my bedroom. Not too sure about couches tho. Our couch is a leather one from Rubelli, but I doubt they'd have what you're after.

Totally agree about Amart, we got ours about 3 years ago, its coming to the end of its life now, cushions are losing their cushioning ability.... Most in Harvey Normal are fairly expensive, but if you get lucky you can find a few bargains. Freedom furniture also has a fairly decent collection. |

if second hand doesn't phase you, lifeline superstores generally have cheap awesome couches. same with futons.

My chinese sweat shop couch from IKEA is going pretty good so far after 5 yrs. The couches are easy to put together as you only really have to attach the cover and the feet.

I keep hearing ads about king furniture where it's all made out of super steel and you can drop bowling balls or some s*** on them and they won't break.
