Topic: New years resolutions?

Does anyone have resolutions yet? If so, what are they, do they carry over from previous failed years, or are they brand new? How often do you actually keep your resolutions?

I would go first, but I don't have any yet, and want some ideas/suggestions. Mine are usually the same boring ones that get forgotten a week into the new year (get fit, eat healthy, blah blah, learn the kazoo). I want something interesting this year! Possibly to do with being overseas, or having just finished undergrad, or new beginnings etc.

Start more threads on QGL asking people questions.

Also, save for Europe/UK in 2010 and get back into social activities like poker and bowling and maybe jujitsu again.

Thinking i need something exciting to do this year. Done Skydiving, Bridge climb and WRX rally-car driving. Any suggestions?

Which one? #4? Cause that one was pretty funny.

I guess my New years resolution is to stick to a training plan that won't burn me out.

That means no more 4 week training blocks - that I need to have at least 5 days completely off the bike every (max) 21 days. 2008 has taught me that I can't just do 7 weeks of intensity and expect to not overtrain/burn out.

Do AFF1, tandem doesn't count.

On that note, wingsuits in 2009.

Hit 65kg (I'm 66 so I'll probably make it), and also get wasted that night. New years resolution is to record the EP and become a rockstar, but at least record the EP.

Got my blue card and HR licence, so will go get job in labouring/construction.

Currently 95kg, I'm planning to be 110kg of muscle by end of 2009. Just starting to do bodybuilding with new PT, with program being written out. Hope to maybe compete in 2010..

^^ depending on what games are played (whether my laptop could handle it) I could be up for some of that lan action (oh and if it's hosted close enough).

Probably to find more friends who get out more, currently the only friends I have either sit around drinking piss or go fishing. I wanna go go karts or movies or skirmish or something. I need a new life :(

props to ya scooby for fighting the good fight against 5:4er's who use 4:3 ratio screens (& let's face it... they are crazy) but some evil lcd manufacturers did make lcds screens with a native res of 1280x1024 5:4 :(

i blame jim for this travesty.

Fishing is fun though.

If you like sitting out in the middle of a lake at 4am trying to catch a nibble. Plus I can't sit on a hard surface for too long else my back starts to hurt, I get a migraine so sitting in a tinny for 5 hours isn't so much fun for me.

If I want a fish I'll go to coles and buy one.

You must be a strong rider.

I rode B grade a few times, that track is rape, hitting 60 around those bodged corners is fail.

You ever ride Nundah or Lakeside?

yeah I do em all, im an U23 rider. so its a bit easier at my age.

I've got 4 primes, 1 2nd, 3 3rd's and 1 first last year in B grade. want to win a couple of A by the end of the year, goldcoast racing too... and open events if I can. just have to put the work in.

I don't really have any personal goals tbh. I can't get any fitter, don't smoke, don't drink, don't take drugs and have a long term gf.

Oh f***! I'm a f***ing boring arse straight loser.

Resolutions:

Get fat, start smoking, start drinking, dump my girlfriend and PARTYY!!!! w00000t

Or not....

Only thing I desperately want to achieve this year is to keep our soccer team out of relegation so I don't have to go through the whole League re-application process again *sigh*
