Hi guys!

Well, I've just watched the first season of 24 and I'm keen to watch another. Any recommendations?

Watch Season 2, I'm on another round of watching seasons 1 - 6 again. I'm a few eps off from finishing S02. My advice is to watch them in order, they are all awesome.

They are all equally good because they all have Kiefer Sutherland.

Skip season 3.
I can barely remember 4/5/6. From memory 6 was kinda crappy - too much China, not enough nukes.

Spoiler warning - could ruin previous seasons (if you haven't seen em) and next season (if you haven't seen the trailer)
Spoiler:
I'm looking forward CTU being gone - that place's HR people had to be fired. How many moles can an organisation hire before heads begin to role? And their physical security systems are rubbish, I've worked in banks that had better security than that.

I am looking forward to the return of the Bauer Hour of Power.

Season 1 was really average compared to the other seasons I thought what do you think made it better?

The season where Mason flies the plane and Jack is forced to kill that other dude.

The novelty of the story and the directing. I'm not saying the others were terrible, I enjoyed all of them, but as the seasons progressed it started to get a bit formulaic for me. I started to identify the "shock, horror" twists before they happened which didn't happen in the earlier seasons. I'm hoping that the extra year break has given the writers time to come up with some really new stuff.

I thought in terms of story season 1 was pretty poor though. Amnesia? Come on...

Jack killing his brother was pretty hardcore in season 6.

Yeah I watched a third of each season back to back (i.e. on the same day), and it became too predictable. The only thing that CTU didn't suffer was a direct nuclear attack, but even then they'd probably have the I.T. guys back in to set the servers back up ...

Jack didn't kill is brother in season 6, he interrogated (tortured) the s*** out of him. It was their father that actually killed Jack's brother. Jack did however shoot and kill his friend and fellow CTU agent Curtis.

Lol, I had forgotten about that. Good point, that was pretty lame. Actually, there are lame bits in every season. They need to call it 12 and ditch the filling.

Yeh Shapelle or whatever his name was.

Pretty much the only season I thought was genuinely average was season 6.

My favorite series was the one where Jack saves the world in one day.

The first half of season 1 was amazing. Tv has come a long way since then, but there was nothing like it. Kim's story was enthralling and the run-kim-run nature of her story was new, not stale.

I think the season where they killed everyone off at the start was a great beginning, but now some of the threats are hard to appreciate as more serious than earlier threats. I was excited when they took over an airport in one season, that it was getting back to basic terror, the sort of things you'd expect your local ctu to be handling, but it was cover for stealing a nuke or something

I am looking forward to the new season though I thought the movie was a bit weak. Will probably not watch it live, maybe in four hour chunks.
