Mates looking at getting a dell xps m1530, anyone got any discount codes that are current, or know how to get a discount, I've heard you can just finish the sale with a sales person over the phone and haggle the price.

Also, anyone got one and can comment on performance?

I got one 6 months ago still going good. Does all the things a laptop usually does.

When I got one I did a fair bit of research and it was probably the best all round laptop available without breaking the bank.

Had one for about a year, quite happy with it.

I've used it pretty much constantly for 12 months (home and work) and it is holding up well. I haggled with the nice Indian Dell lady for about 10% off I think. I haven't had battery problems of note although I bought the larger battery for it.

Plays games pretty well as the specs suggest, but you won't play many on max detail.
