This is a relative matter. One person’s gaffe is another’s peccadillo. Some common complaints about usage strike me as too persnickety, but I’m just discussing mistakes in English that happen to bother me.


american or not i'll listen to anyone who genuinely uses words like peccadillo and persnickety in a sentence

You can not deny that english is a screwed up language with every single rule being broken multiple times. I think Americans are on the right step, changing english for the better.
