Boner alarm

Amanda Louise Thompson, 28, pleaded not guilty in the Brisbane District Court yesterday to maintaining a sexual relationship with a child under 16 between April 2003 and mid-2005.

He said the couple would regularly engage in sex acts while they travelled in Ms Thompson's car.

The court heard Thompson was so trusted by the girl's parents that she became "part of the family", attending birthday celebrations, accompanying the family on holidays, and even spending Christmas day at their home.

The jury heard the pair engaged in a sex act while watching a fireworks display on a school trip to the RNA showground for the Ekka.

Mr Fuller told the jury the girl, now 19, would regularly spend the weekend at her teacher's house where they would perform sexual acts on each other using objects including necklaces and Chuppa Chup lollipops.
