So after much anticipation, I've finally got to sit down and play the full version of Spore and I'm very impressed.

I'm only at the start of the Creature stage (just migrated to a new nest), but I thought the Cell Stage was really well done. IMO they could have fleshed it out more. The whole visual style though was great and it looked really cool as you eventually grew to eat other creatures that once took up your entire screen.

Here's my current land creature, he's a bit of a nutter.

I'm struggling to get others to join my pack or ally because although he has level 5 attacks, he only has level 1 of the sing/dance etc. abilities... so as a result I just have to kill everything.

What's everyone elses thoughts so far? Also share your creature from the full game of Spore and tell us what point in the game "it" is from.

Makes sense now. I was extremely excited at the start too. Then after about 3 hours of space, you may see why it's disappointing.

Hello ecodisaster, hello constant pirate attacks, goodbye Spore.

You should be able to get creatures of your own kind to join your pack!

I didin't mind spore, im like..30 min into space stage, but thats where i left it due to studies starting again!

I got up to civilisation and just stopped playing due to sheer boredom. It wanted me to design a building and vehicle from a million building parts? Whatever, just let me play the f***ing game already, I'm not a girl!

Also the game teaches you that it's easier to conquer and destroy rather than play nice and cooperate. Why bother spending 30 mins gaining points and building up singing/dancing body-parts/instruments to win over neighbours when you can just go in and destroy them with what you have right now?

Spore is nothing but several hugely incomplete mini-games glued together.

yea cell stage was awesome, they shoulda made the entire game cell stage. Then eventually made it into a trilogy, releasing the other stages as expansion packs, which on the greatness of the cell stage, would have high hopes for. These soon would come crashing down, like wall street.

I want to experience all the emotions: betrayal, love, revenge. Single-celled creatures cannot provide these.

I was bored the whole time playing but I gave it until it went into the caveman stage or whatever.
