Hi people.

I'm looking at getting a 19" LCD monitor. budget is about $250, preferabbly $200. Can anyone recommend a good monitor that will playing a lot of FPS games (so minimal blurring).

I've checked out what Umart/MSY have along those lines and have no idea if they are any good though. Are the 22" monitors of the same price worse/better or the same as the 19"

Cheers people.

I have a samsung 22'W and can switch between wide and normal screen with a button on the monitor. Try get a 5ms or 2ms one.

I cap my frames at 75 cos the max refresh rate is 75. Seems to be alot smoother.

Unless you have a really small desk and can't fit a decent size monitor, don't bother with gettinga 19". bear in mind tho that 22" monitors are designed to run @ 1680 x 1050 so if your PC can't render FPS in that res adequately, don't bother with anything other than a 19"

On a side note, CA are almost finished their expansion and are in the process of setting up a heap of monitors for actual demo purposes with games and peripherals (G25 Steering Wheels etc, FPS machines & Home Theatre Rooms etc...) so you will finally be able to see some decent hardware up close an personal if you don't know anyone who has any!

I mean, pfft, who the hell as an average punter is going to shell out a s*** tin of cash on hardware without having first hand experience of what it's like to play a game in its full glory.

I just have to come up with a better design for the G25 table (without going nuts on the full immersion cockpit gear). My home setup is fine for me tho prolly wouldn't be to most peoples tastes (though it is sorta portable / can be placed outta the way).

Now if I can only figure out a way to convince the powers that be to give me access to the new Home Theatre room after hours :)
Oh, now back on track
