That sure looks like alot of overseas bands ... and if you were being nasty you might say alot of bands that might play as the warmup for someone else. Still it'd be ok as long as the main acts play more then a few songs.

honestly, there are some pretty good bands in there.

Yeah it definitely is. When I saw most of these rumoured a few weeks ago, i thought there was no chance it would be the official line-up. Last year they had a few of the bigger internationals drop out before the day so it will be interesting to see how this pans out.

How they're going to pay all of them on a regular festival ticket price is a bit beyond me though. I guess they will be at a bigger, more manageable venue for the Brisbane show this year though.

Disappointed, I thought this was going to be a thread about the new Transformers movie :(

I feel pretty good about it.

i went to the last 2 soundwaves and they were abit boring to me, 1 or 2 bands i didnt "mind" seeing... however its not my kind of festivals, i only went to hang out with my mates.. and that itself made it an awesome experience.

With the bigger line-up and change of venue, you may not be as bored this time around. :)

That's one crazy lineup! Goldfinger, Less Than Jake, Anberlin, New Found Glory, Bloodhound Gang, Alkaline Trio, Alice in Chains...takes me back to my younger days.

does anyone know what the go is with this earlie bird stuff and does any1 know a sure price on tickets? and if the earlie bird tix are credit card only?? and what ticket seller will be selling the tix like ticketek or ticketmaster etc.

The bands seem to be a mix of bands I havn't heard anything from in like a decade, and bands that are new and I don't know them.

Oh yeah, the organisation was a joke. There were heaps of under 18's in the drinking areas, people breaking in to backstage areas and far too little security. Some f***heads started sledding down the hill at the main stage on wheelie bins, and a friend of mine almost got wtfpwnt. Security took AAAGES to do anything.

I just liked the band lineup.
