Celebrity stalker blog Just Jared has some new set photos from the upcoming Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time movie showing actor Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain, Donnie Darko) in costume (or lack-thereof) as the Arabian ninja Prince Dastan.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is currently filming in Morocco under the direction of Mike Newell (Mona Lisa Smile, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and written by both Jeffrey Nachmanoff (The Day After Tomorrow) and Prince of Persia creator, Jordan Mechner. Starring alongside Gyllenhaal are Gemma Arterton, Ben Kingsley, and Alfred Molina.

We won't be seeing the complete film until 2010 but what does everyone think? Finally a chance
for Hollywood to get a videogame movie right?

this will be the first good videogame to movie adaptation. especially since bruckheimeer is behind it and his movies are fairly good

he looks more like the prince from the second game rather than the first.

As long as Jake dies 15 times in the first scene cos he cant work out how to draw his sword I'll be satisfied with the adaptation
